    You called it!

The Bulls/ Cartwright didn't know how to front the post.
They fronted him but slowed to provide weakside help. They did not harass the passer either.

The Rockets seemed to have worked on it themselves too.
In the first few minutes of the game with Yao posting on the left block ...
    1) Twice Yao was overplayed to his left shoulder. The passer started on the wing, foul line extended but adjusted the passing angle by dribbling toward the baseline and fed the ball perfectly to Yao away from the defender. Yao scored easily.
    2) Once Yao was fronted, a lob was quickly thrown in over the top and Yao got a dunk.

I believed 2 passes came from JJ, 1 came from Cat.

Curry played behind Yao after that.

I obviously meant the manner in which we played offense, a deviation from using Yao as the focal point of the offense. Take a bunch of outside shots tomorrow night while you ignore Yao and we're going to get pasted. The Bulls suck and put forth little defensive effort tonight. Why do you think there were so many open shots tonight? Just because?

Yao getting 9 shots in 29 minutes is not acceptable for this team no matter what the score is.

That's exactly what Rockets need to do to counter any foolish 6-10 guy front 7-6 Yao and try to cheat. Yao made them pay with 2 of the easist dunks.

    I think it's a good idea.
    1) Yao gets his rest.
    2) The other players get their game time practice in. MoT got some shots, Steve and Cat got some. I especially like the new back door play we ran for JJ, he got a couple of layups out of it.

On the other hand, there was 1 horrored play that I have not seen anyone mentioned. Boki on the wing dribbling back and forth trying to create. After a good 5 secs going nowhere he fed Cato in the post and Cato showed his 1 on 1 move ... you know how it turned out. :)

I woke up this morning fearing the worst for the Rockets seeing how the last game went...and now i have this stunned look on my face...

This team may not be as bad as last year's after all...It still looks like an erratic team, alternating between good and bad games, but i can't remember the last time they won 2 blowout games in a season...and this is only the third game...

Damn I am reading two OPPOSITE views from yall regarding the rockets' offence. :( :(

1)Some of you are saying that they were playing Rudy-ball in this game,
2)while the others are saying that the players well-known for ISO are now passing more often.

So which side's story am I supposed to believe in? Please don't give comments based on just the stats if you don't watch the game at all. It affects people like me who doesn't have the opportunity to watch the games.

Next time, before you comment, state whether you personally watch the game or not. Okay? ;)

Now I have to take the time to download the whole game, and to watch it myself.

As I don’t have the possibility to watch the Rockets can someone who has seen the game tell me how Nachbar did yesterday. I’m especially interested in his defense as it was talked here so much.

From an ftp in my university. I don't know who owns it though. And it is not accessible from outside of campus, if that's what you're really wanting to ask about. Hehe. It's not really legal btw.

Hmmmm...The Rockets shot somewhere around 55% for the game; that doesn't leave a whole of boards to get. Plus when you are up by 20 at the half, you lose a bit of your intensity on the boards...

She definitely needs a severe case of strep throat. Mr. Ed or not, at least Lisa Malosky actually made it through one complete sentence without a big hesitation or butchering a player's name...(Except for "Calvin Cato", but we got used to that. :))

He was 4-4 from 3 pt line, 12 points. His defense was spectacular, IMO. He hussled his but off and threw himself all over the floor. Unfortunately, he also threw himself all over the floor while driving to the hoop. Someone needs to check his shoe treads for wear. Good game by the rocks, but once they were up by 20, rudyball started to reemerge. Like someone else previously said, that could have been intentional by JVG to rest Yao, but I was a bit perturbed by moochie and mobley and mo trying to dominate the ball in the 2nd half. Well, im always perturbed by moochie, he sucks.

What happened to man boobs? I thought for sure he would have played in this blowout. I hope Boki can keep it up, he does have a nice touch.

In the 1st half, especially 1st quarter, Yao did get a good number of touches.

We lead by 20 at the half.

In the 3rd quarter, we purposely ran plays for others, some for Steve, Cat, MoT, JJ. Some plays for Steve and Cat resembled the iso, clear out. Some were PnR. Mo T got the low post play. Mo also worked with JJ for the back-door cut which worked beautifully.

Yao did not play the 4th.

Yao Ming is a man that knows what is good for him.You cant judge or interpret too much from them sitting together. I do hope for the Team that they are getting along but we have no indication what is going on in their heads or in their hearts.I want the Rockets to play Team Basketball nothing else, except Champiopnships!
