For a long time veteran, Howard can really do some dumb things on the court. Like the 55 year old guy playing rec ball with no awareness, throwing balls into traffic, dumb fouls..that kinda thing
Seriously, who do we have right now that we can throw the ball to in the paint? I think Deke has been great, but he's somewhat limited offensively (I am trying to be nice). Bonzi isn't there either. We have no choice but to be a perimeter team right now, that's all we have left. Moreover, we actually got to the basket quite a bit early on in the game and we still missed a bunch of shots... 5-3 without Yao/Bonzi after this one...

There is no smart choice for the PG position right now. It's the lesser of three evils. If JLIII ever learned how to pass or run a team, and if VSpan ever learned how to shoot, dribble and play smart, Rafer wouldn't be seeing as many minutes.
