I was making a point about Tmac doing even more than what he's already doing for the team. And I'm not for it!!

This is also JVG's problem, he can't see the forest for the trees...it is not just an overtime game...Jeff....Rafer has been sucking for more than a month...onlyl TWICE in the last month did Rafer manage to shoot 50%....TWICE !!

    But whatever, we are winning.

Total BS. If you had been asked, before the season started, how many games the Rockets would have won at this point, knowing that Bonzi, Snyder, TMac and Yao sat out many games, you would have guessed less than 15. Give credit to JVG for a record that has the Rockets in contention? Not a chance. Afterall that would be fair, which is not exactly your strong suit is it?

Uh no, if you go back and read I have been saying they would get out to a fast start, and they did.

However, they could be even better....but 22-13 is not to shabby.

I'd like to think of Rafer as Vince Young.

Vince has a low completion percentage
Rafer has a low shooting percentage

Vince is better at running than throwing
Rafer is better at shooting from three than easier layups and short jumpers

Vince plays big in fourth quarter
Rafer only shoots well in the fourth quarter

Vince manages the game well and doesn't turn the ball ever
    Rafer doesn't make crucial mistakes

I know this is blasphemy in Houston. But yeah I said it. What What what?

Man, you would have seen the running of the Bulls tonight if Vspan was in the game. We would have been ran out of the gym. The Bulls thrive on playing good defense and forcing turnovers to initiate the fastbreak with their athletes. They didn't do that at all tonight.

A MISSED SHOT IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN A TURNOVER ESPECIALLY WITH DEKE AND CHUCK PROVIDING MORE SHOTS. Rafer and Tmac do a great job of getting us good looks at the basket.

We have shot the ball more times than our opponent each of the last 7 games. If you shoot the ball more, you win more.

Saw the game live tonight. I get to see the Rockets just once a year when they roll into Chicago. There was an inordinate number of Asians at the game even though Yao didn't play. That's a good thing - a sign that Yao is making Rocket fans, not just YOFs, here in Chicago.

The first half was drudgery to watch. Sloppy passing. Bad shooting. TMac missing everything. Rafer taking all manner of shots. Only Deke's rebounding and Juwan's solid play were keeping us somewhat in the game. The 2nd half was much more fun and suspenseful. When TMac got hot, the Bulls fans around me got nervous - one guy constantly shouting "don't let him shoot!" That's how I felt about Ben Gordon when the Bulls were on offense. There is not a more dangerous player in the NBA in the 4th quarter. He trashed Rafer one-on-one and Rafer wasn't even bad on D. The switch to Battier was what stopped the bleeding. Should have gone to Battier earlier. Luther Head, the former Illini, got some nice applause from the Chicago crowd. And his play was solid as usual. Great time because th good guys won. Beating the Bulls in the United Center is no small feat. They were 15-3 at home before the loss.

I am so glad the Rockets finally won a close game on the road. I was getting to the point where I thought that this would be a huge monkey on their backs unless they learned how to close out a tough game. This year we already have, LA twice, golden state, portland, minnesota, indiana as close losses. Not to mention the emabarrasment against the Spurs at home. That being said, it is a very good sign that things are coming together. I cant even imagine what it is going to be like with healthy Yao and healthy TMAC!

Can you imagine a the playoff run with the those two playing like superstars? There is no team in the NBA that match both TMAC and Yao playing at superstar levels.

Was at the game tonight for the 3rd year in a row...Definitely less Rox fans in the place tonight. I usually spot at least 10 and tonight I saw 4. I was the only one in my area cheering them on. As for the game, the first half was brutal. It wasn't like good defense was bein played, it was poor shot selection, unforced turnovers, and the Rox looking lifeless.
The fourth quarter was great though. It got very loud in there (it's hard for that place to get loud because its so spacious) and Bulls fans were booing the refs like crazy. (Esp on the play at the end where Nocioni fouled Chuck).
All in all it was a win for a seemingly tired team and we managed to pull it out when when really should have been blown out.

I was at the game, made everybody hate me because I was the only one (and the people with me) in the entire section cheering for the rockets. A couple guys converted near the end though ;)

All I have to say is Mcgrady was awesome. The bulls were making almost all of their shots in the 4th, the crowd was going nuts, and he shut them up every time.

Hey y'all!!!! I just wanted to share my Rockets-Bulls experience on the BBS. I just got back from the game (I moved to from Pittsburgh to Chicago in July for my job), and it was incredible.

So, I picked up a ticket off of ebay. Just about the highest nosebleed on the visitor's side, behind the basket. I got to the game right as the Bulls were to be introduced. I walked into the arena and I was blown away. First off, the intro was really cool, and the crowd was REALLY in to it. It was pretty dark, but it looked almost packed. The stadium was really imposing. As I walked in, it felt like an incredibly hostile environment. Sort of like you're in one of those crummy futuristic movies like Rollerball or something. I dunno, as a fan of the opposing team, I was a bit nervous -- it's NOT a welcoming environment. The stadium itself is huge, and imposing, and unfriendly.

I picked out a few Rockets fans throughout the crowd. There was someone in my section (325) with a TMac jersey, and someone in the adjacent section as well. I even saw someone down in the lower bowl with a Steve Francis jersey, which was awesome :)

There's no need for me to re-cap the game. Suffice it to say that I was just devastated during the first half -- it was a terrible half for both teams, but the Rockets just looked lost on offense. It wasn't until the third quarter, when TMac came alive, that things started rolling. Late in the fourth-quarter, I was so impressed with the crowd. They were SO loud, and so incredibly focused on the game. No one was leaving early, no one was sitting on their hands. Everyone was pulling strong for the Bulls. It felt sort of like a playoff game.

It was so awesome to see TMac drop dagger after dagger into the heart of the Bulls . . . watching your team win in someone else's arena is one of the most awesome feelings in all of fandom. It's even more awesome when the game is close until the very end. On the way out, I bumped into a few Rockets fans, and we were all blown away by TMAC's awesome performance. It was so much fun walking around the arena with a big fat grin on my face, and my Yao Ming jersey on. I bumped into a few Rockets fans outside the arena too, which was awesome. It's nice to see some fans up here. Any of y'all on Clutchfans?

Anyways, I'm so hyped. I just wanted to share with y'all. No pictures, unfortunately, but all in all, this was an incredible experience. The Chicago Bulls fans are great fans, and I hope that one day the Rockets fans will be just as awesome.

    GO ROCKETS!!!

Battier 2 big blocked shots in the last minute.

    Chuck 2 huge FT's.

Couldnt be happier right now. Our team responded like champions today. McGrady may of carried the majority of the offense but the afforementioned plays from the role players had to be made , and they made 'em.

I might not be making sense - im too happy!! :p

i cant say enough about the way deke has been playing its great to see him give it his all when he is out there. The same goes for juwan they both have been stepping up and have been very efficient without Yao in the lineup. As for tmac there is a reason why he is one of our franchise players. the guy just went into a zone the second half, he missed some shots that i thought were gonna go in, but overall just amazing. he did a good job not trying to force the action himself. he took some shots with the clock down to try to bail the team out. he had a great all around game which was nice to see.

rafer at least dish the ball well today, but he drives to the lane need to be fixed somehow he was 0-8 from the 2pt area today.

luther played consistent again today, it seems that he is in some sort of slump right now missing some open shots he usually makes and hesistating on some open looks for him.

shane played a great game defensively and hit his spots. he made the big plays even though he was cold in the first half.

chuck hayes man 2 FTS to seal the game. that was great

what was great was the bulls announcers saying how the bulls players gave deke too much respect and they need to drive and as they were saying it gordan drives and kerr(bull color guy) says like "there you go" and gordon gets blocked by deke and that shut him up good.

I just got back from the game (well hit a bar near the UC on the way home)

It was awesome. Deke is my new favorite Rocket... when he did the finger wave .. I was the only one in our section that jumped up and started waving the finger.. for some reason he looked my way in the crowd and waved his finger again.. then he got his technical. pretty funny..

my buddies dad is the GM of the UC and hooked us up with great seats..

I would post all my pics and my review but I am pretty drunk at the moment.. and don't want to say something I am gonna regret later... hehe

This was a good win...I think everyone in that Rockets locker room is even closer than before after this win. Still don't like Alston's playing, but his clutchy-ness is undeniable. Maybe he IS the one </matrix> :)

Maybe Deke got the technical for wagging his finger at you! They thought he was taunting the crowd. Be more careful next time man ;)

Can't believe we actually pulled this out. Man, Battier was key player tonight for us. I was wondering when we'd switch him to Gordon. And Hayes made BOTH fts! Alston's shooting still is ugly to see but I still think he did good with running the offence for the most part tonight.

    Thank God for Tmac ...
