We only need two more to go, at least when Yao is back!

Does the next win puts the Rockets at 10 games over .500? Would that be the first time this season they would have done that?

I think what he means is why is half the attention on ALston when the team is playing unbelievable defense and in the midst of winning the game. He didnt ask you to compliment Alston but rather compliment or mention or players, or aspects of the rockets. like perhaps Head's 8 rebounds or Dekes 16 or Hayes or Battier's effort. But rather half the posts are about Alston shooting poorly as if that were somehow a suprise.

    Oh come on Tiger

    Give Luther and Juwan/Chuck credit

Rafer will be allright too. Bonzi should be good if he gets healthy too.

We might have enough pieces this year

I second that and JVG makes an in game adjustment for the 1st time in his coaching career. :) He put Shane on Gordon and Shane shut him down in crunch time. Great win by the Rockets tonight give the team including the coach credit for this one.

    Go Rockets!

See that's how clever jvg is. Rafer's poor defensive effort was an intentional setup for Gordon to be completely surprised in the 4th quarter (when Battier started defending him).

    That's Rudy's. Here's Jeff's:

NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE WISDOM OF A BALDING COACH.

Agreed statistically, but just that one play at the end- not only does he block the shot, but he has the presence to grab the ball and throw it to an open teammate without stepping out of bounds. And like Kelly said (an admitted Bulls fan) his defense on Deng was excellent.

Now, if Rafer defended like that, we could probably excuse his horrid shooting. Then again, probably not.

Jvg finally put Battier to instead of Alston to D Goden. And thanks for Battier he and Tmac saved us.

I still can not remember any good pass from Alston. All gread pass come from Tmac. So he can not shoot, can not pass, can not lay up, can not D Goden..

Why not give Vspan a try, he at least can steal, D, panatrate, give this guy some meaningfull play time. That's investment.

Jvg, come on, I know Alston come from NY but he play really sucks these days, so please lower-dwon his play time.

Have to remember Kirk as well. He's a huge guard who can play adequate defense and drive into the lanes. We really do have a solid team.

JVG changed his strategy by asking Shane to guard Gorden finally, this is the most important decision at clutch time, I appreciate it and give him credit.
Shane is damn good especially with a clutch 3pts and blk.
Deke is the man, he protected our defensive rebs.
T-Mac found his rhythm in the 2nd half and bring us this big win.
Rafer sucked as usual, not only his poor FG but also his poor defense against Gorden, but he always plays with heart and keep fighting, without Yao, he should take more shoot, I don't wanna blame him, please make you FG a little bit better, or we will be killed because of you.

    Shane can play!
Rafer if the shot are not falling... Drive and dish out the assist , don't force it.

Tmac carried us tonite like a true superstar.
Who wants to sex mutumbo ? !! I bet many young ladies does :D
Juan has another solid game! Playing like his early days.
Chuck as expect good production on the board and energy.
    Luther - solid game

Overall, it's good to see the fighting spirit and the will to win. I like what I see. Good thing is we will be better when our injured guys come back :)

Guys lay off Rafer...sure he shot 2-14 and 1-2 from the FT line.

But those 7 points were CRUCIAL in a 7 point victory..

Way to step up Rafer !!

The same guys bashing Rafer tonight are the same guys that were bashing JVG last week, are the same guys that were bashing Juwan last month, are the same guys bashing TMac 2 months ago, are the same guys bashing Battier at the start of the season, and are the same guys bashing Yao early last year. See a trend here?

    The Biggest odd is:

We had lost four straight games on NBA TV. @HONETS; SPURS;@PISTONS,@SUNS.

I thought we were going to lose this by default. :)

Funny how it takes guys like Deke and Zo to show the whole world that Ben Wallace is the most overpaid player in the league.

Deke outplays him at the ripe age of 50...now he will be demanding Ben Wallace money when he re-ups with the Rox for two more seasons. What can you tell the guy? He has video footage of him pwning Big Ben. :D

Count on Dikembe and Chuck, we have 2 1/2 great role players now. Head is developing.
