At the end of the day Chicago is more of a veteran team with better chemistry. They keep their core players together. They add core pieces They have Thibs, a good defensive minded coach. With the Cavs struggling, Chicago can be very dangerous in the postseason.
I'm pretty sure we were up by 34 a couple nights ago on Miami at the end of the 3rd. That game was won in the first 36min. Just sayin' I know what you mean, but its not always true... and 30 FTs to 5 is QUITE a hole to dig yourself out of, especially when you ARE being aggressive, ARE shooting rather well, and cannot get awarded the FTs deserved. Yes, Houston had a chance to win at the end... but the weights weren't balanced and it was all uphill, whether they had a small lead or not.
whats worse is this...yes the FT disparity hurts, but OMG the fouls in general! Chicago never had any issues with players being in foul trouble or having to sub in or out due to inconvenient numbers on an important piece of their gameplan. They just got to do whatever they wanted, perfectly, without interruption. THAT makes a huge difference as well.
IIRC, they didn't post DMo during that stretch -- though I could be wrong. Pretty much useless having him out there to just wander around the perimeter.
FT disparity was eye popping. Rockets had chance to win at end, But couldn't do it. Move on, feast on the easy schedule.
Didn't they just trade Luol "core piece" Deng last year? Bulls are lucky as $%#@ they got the #1 pick with Rose and then could pry Thibs from Boston. Just really good timing on their part.
The first month of the season I was really excited about this team. Even with the injuries we had an impressive record. But this last few weeks of play has got me really discouraged. We have slipped on defense, our offense has been consistently bad, Dwight doesn't seem to be trying out there, Ariza is shooting is at its worst in five years, and Josh Smith is such a mixed bad of good and absolutely terrible I don't know what to make of him. I hope Jones can come back and eventually play at the same level he was the first four games of the season. Seems like such a long time ago, sigh.
We aren't in trouble record wise. We have a easy stretch of games coming up but winning those won't dispel the doubts that many have over whether we can even make it past the first round.
Since we are a sure fire 1st round exit according to you, why are the rox in trouble? They are what you thought they were so why panic nostradumbass. Err Nostradamus.
Something has to be done about the officiating. Two extremely lopsided refereeing within a month against the Rox is too much of a coincidence IMO.
Win 1 game and lose 2 games make this team go nowhere in western conference. With this poor effort, 1st round exit is the highest limit.
That Gasol flop when Harden barely touched his shoulder still has my blood boiling. If that isn't fine worthy idk what is.
It's all about match ups and officiating, you know that. Impossible to know whether we are first rounders tbh. This year- as long as you make the top 8 teams in the west is all that matters. The west is that good. Although I don't want 8, 4 or 5. We are in a funk though, I will admit that. However, I will not agree that we are first round fodder.
