Im not saying the game was evenly officiated, but most games arent evenly officiated. We had plenty of chances to win and failed to execute after leading most of the game.

I have no idea how someone who watched the game can "we just didn't get fouled" this was as blatant as the Sac/LA game.

blah, I really was hoping this was more cleaned up, I mean Houston could have won regardless, but those FT's were damning. And Yes... I have watched games in the past where the guy got caught later for fixing and this was oddly familiar... I'd like to think it was a fluke but time will tell.

Bad match up for Pap tonight. He got feasted on. That elusive second playmaker could've helped take the game out of the refs hands.

Should Ariza be removed from the starting lineup? Dude is a complete liability on offense now.

    I gotta say tho...

The Terry/Brewer/SF/Smith/Howard combo is deadly. Gave the rockets momentum to begin the 2nd and 4th Periods

Again clearly all games aren't evenly officiated. But when the discrepancy is that large in a game? Rockets wouldn't even have to be in the position had it even been called any bit fairer.

Yeah the Rockets have some blame, but you can't just disregard the refs in a lopsided scenario like that.

Is it possible that the Bulls were purposely not contesting hard because they were purposely trying not to foul and that is why the Rockets had so many points in the paint?

That is about what the Rockets should be... Things are evening out after getting some close wins early... 4-6 seed with the hope of better if the team gels or adds a piece.

ZNB, you have a fair point in general that we haven't played well recently, and it's likely due to transition challenges from the recent roster moves (and underlying, persistent inept lack of preparation and any gameplan), but tonight's game was poorly called against the Rockets.

That being said, there were some bad calls made in the Rockets favor that provided some nice multiple-point upswings. However, overall, the officiating (bad calls AND no-calls) exceedingly benefitted the Bulls in this game.

It was generally a good game until the officiating became so blatantly horrendous.

Yeah, Sac really got robbed. I can't imagine what it's like for Sac fans to basically be there and then lose it.

I wish the same for you, always finding excuses when it is pretty clear where the problem is (5 pts in last 6.05, outscored 19 - 5).

Rockets were sent to the line once.

Ignore the tech call and ignore the garbage FT line attempt.

    Once.

Home cooking, fine. But it wasn't close to being even, it was a pure one sided affair.

You're pointing out all these wonderful things the Rockets did....up until the final half of the 4th quarter when they stopped playing D and went to ISO ball. I agree with you that the first 42 minutes were terrific and they should've had a larger lead had the refs not been so in the tank for the Bulls.

But tell me where the refs screwed the Rockets over in the final 6 minutes other than that horrible offensive foul on Harden. That foul on Gasol was ticky tack, but Harden did smack him unnecessarily in the head. When you dribble the ball around and force up bad jump shots, you're not likely to get any whistles. The Rockets needed to start attacking the hoop relentlessly late in the 4th. If the refs still won't send them to the line after that, then you can b-tch to reporters afterwards that the fix was in.

Yeah, iirc a lot of experts picked Houston to be around 6th seed... but of course we all thought the Rockets were better, maybe they were right. The good news is Houston tends to play better on the road.
