I saw many posters wrote that Yao was owned by Bogut...I found it difficult to believe. Can someone give an objective account of whether it was true? SS999
it's a b2b game, considering about YAO's body(not strong enough..),also the curse of the player of the month,it's not too bad.. T-mac shoot well tonight
I feel really bad about Steve Novak and his dad who came to see the game. The Rockets messed up on the roster by putting in Mike James twice so they couldn't dress Novak. Exactly how does one make that mistake?? Is the coaching staff made up of professionals or just a bunch of hacks. There is no excuse for that kind of incompetence.
lol yeah poor novak.. He's dad mustve been pumped to see his son finally getting some minutes then someone had to screw it up at that exact game where rockets are playing his hometown. =(
What's even worse, is that once the mistake was realized, they wouldn't let a correction be made. That is ridiculous. "Sorry Mr. Adleman, a rule is a rule." "But this is the kids hometown and his dad is here to watch him" "Mr. Adleman, how do we know this wasn't an elaborate plan to trick the Bucks into thinking that you weren't including Novak, to then slip in end right before the game. We can't have that. The good news is though, that Mike James could really improve his stats during this game. We will be counting all of his points, rebounds, steals as double since there are two of him on the roster."
If only Yao could get singled up like that on Bogut. The game went out of hand once the Rockets gave Bogut the Yao treatment. He sure started to complain to the officials. Now he knows what its like....
good things happen on monday rox play a game that should be winnable then 4 teams that are in front of us go head to head denver against portland NOLA against utah
That only prove one thing for me. T-mac and Yao do not fit each other. There are some chances in this game that T-mac could pass the ball to the better positioned Yao, but T-mac just forgot. It seems to me the ball moving is much better when T-mac is out.
TMAC and Yao fits each other it is the PG position Alston and MAC who doesn't fit each other. The Problem is when TMAC is on court with Alston the latter ceased to function as a PG and force to become a shooter as TMAC is the one who is distributing the ball and setting up plays and becoming our Point Guard. Its either make TMAC a true PG with shooters Wells or Head as our SG, or Adelman should stop TMAC playing the PG duties and let our PG Alston do his duty in setting up plays and distributing the ball, and TMAC do his duty in scoring, cutting and going to the rim.
Thoughts of the playoff game 7 against the Mav cmae into mind. Both superstars contributed 67 pts I think, so each got 30 or more. But we lost by 30++ pts. Our superstars can play well and contribute big but we lost badly because of our bench. This showed that both players can play together and contribute big so the notion that they can't play with each other is defendable. According to Chron.com yesterday, McGrady has fully recovered. "It was a great feeling. It was a great feeling No. 1 because my body felt good. My knee didn't bother me at all. I felt really confident. I felt healthy, and I felt light on my feet. It was a dogfight for us, and I feel pretty good about it." http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/5508746.html
I want to see Brooks on the floor with McGrady getting those open looks and taking his man straight up off the dribble. Rafer can run his penetrate and dish game with the second unit.
The sooner posters realize that guys like mcgrady, kobe and lebron dont get wide open shots the better. Its the same reason why guys like moss and to dont get single coverage. Teams gameplan and make sure they dont get anything easy. Thats why defenses shade or tilt to mcgrady. I hate to bring up last yrs playoffs, but i will. The Jazz got to a point when they tied the series and decided to play yao one on one and double tracy and force the 3rd guy to hurt them. Thats why it was crucial to having a in shape bonzi or another guy that can step up. In the playoffs, your stars have to play like stars and your regulars have to play a little better to be successful. People over blow tracy as a chucker. I mean last i checked, 20fgs isnt high. Its really pretty normal for a top wing player. Even if he's not hittng like a couple a games ago, he had 9 asst. Unlike some guys, he has a govenor that cuts on for him. Unlike ome players though, because of the internet, people like to look at what a guy makes instead of his market rate and what he do. This is his 2nd max deal, that why he makes 20m. When yao is up for an extension, he will make 20m at the age of 30. Does anyone on this board believe a 30yr old yao will be worth 20m? I dont think we've ever had a guy so ploarizing recently as tracy. The reasons, i dont know. I mean someone earlier posted about getting value for either one of our top players to improve the team. I dont think it will or should happen. This combo is just going to have to ride it out. Of course you can get better pieces back for yao because mostly with the off court stuff that he brings with him. Would the rox be as good? probably. I mean you can tarde machine all you want, but yao nor mcgrady are going anywhere within the next 3 yrs.
