T-mac was on fire. If he coontinues like that, we will be a lot better. Yao will need to comeback in form. Our pg havent play well in the last games. The first half was bad and we pick up in the second one. BOnzi was good so was Battier. Seem like Battier have improve himself a lot.
the bucks didn't present any threat to the rockets. so, the whole team could wait for tmac to get his shooting back. hope he will get it back from now on. yao's condition was awful after he missed a game due to the cold. though he get 36/19 in the game vs warriors, we could see that he seldom dunk the ball. it's partly due to the lack of stamina. anyway, a win is a win.
The key being that the spread in point totals was tight across the board. Not too many guys got too double figures but both games were low scoring affairs, and the point totals for most of the players were pretty tightly grouped.
then i guess u must have died a long death watching our 2nd championship team during the reg. season. u must have thought we had no chance to win it all that yr. and u must have thought we STUNK and don't deserve to win that year
so what's the point of having stars then? trade both yao and tmac away so we have the balance that u want. obviously u don't want none of them to score much and have a bunch of guys scoring 10-15 pts. trade tmac and yao for cheap.
I think if you blow fourth quarter leads to teams like Philadelphia that's pretty much the definition of "stinks". Look, the Rockets have gotten better. Watching them play though makes me understand why Jeff Van Gundy always looked somebody shot his dog.
again that was without tmac. without tmac, we lose another option to go to. in that game, we kept pounding it into yao and thats not a good strategy down the stretch.
you called out posters who give mcgrady bad names and yet called yao "a weak, nervous little girl"? gotta love the hypocrisy ...
I think you're operating under the mistaken belief that winning seasons are built from highlight reel shots. Winning seasons are built off of getting open, easy looks at the basket. Easy shots win championships, not the stuff you see on ESPN's top 10 every night. Why do I think stars are useful? Because they make the job easier for less talented but equally as important "role" players. When the other team is focused defensively on guarding a Yao or a T-Mac that means easy, open looks at the basket for the rest of the Rockets. And easy, open looks at the basket are what I'm all about.
The Rockets need to figure it out. Pounding the ball into Yao means a TO. Instead Yao moves, the ball moves, Yao gets the ball deep and makes his move immediately before the double team comes, guaranteed 2 or a foul.
Um....tonight the Rockets had 6 players with 8 or more. Last night I think it was even more. Also, the game against San Antonio and Portland T-Mac shot poorly, or he could have had even more points. I personally feel pretty good that when T-Mac's shot isnt falling, he has the players(and the confidence in them) to set them up for good shots.
SNOF! steve novak all the way! ... Propz for us coming out with the win. That's all that matters. But wow, sorta a boring game for me until tmac went off. neither team gave like a big run. o wells.
and no team has faced as much adversity as us: new coach, new system, a few new core players, our main guy getting injured and going in and out of games, confidence going up and down... -> and yet we're 3 games behind the 4 spot (that's more realistic). buckle down for a ride rocket fans. it's going to be WILD.
We've just gotta keep winning. Other teams will cool down. Just aim for the magic number of 48 wins (or more)
