Why don't you go check out Yao's numbers and come back to?

Oh, nevermind, I'll tell them to ya. Yao got 25 and 10. But wait, I don't think you're satisfied with that too? You want to trade Yao for Okur then?

Thought not. So enough of your crap as well.

Despite sub par performance from Big Yao, and the almost-transparent Ah Lian, nevertheless the fans including Yi Jianlian's parents in Bradley Centre were enjoying this China Derby II in festival mood.

Right, it took him taking 19 shots to realize he wasn't hitting? How many shots should Tmac take while going 30% from the field before you realize that he's taking too many?

Where the hell's the balanced offense? The team we saw tonight: been there, done that. As far as I'm concerned the only bright spot from tonight's game is T-Mac's recovery. There is still a whole lot to be worried about though.

I think you can find box scores from every championship team, even against bad teams, where one of the stars was money, the other didnt play well, and the role players had solid but not spectacular games. Have you forgotten the big games from Landry, Scola, Landry, Brooks, Landry, Bonzi, Rafer, Battier, and hell even Mike James in the first 2 games of the year??

5 or 6 guys in double figures?? Almost, had 6 guys over 8 points, and a 7th an uncharacteristaclly poor 3 point night from being there(Brooks 1 fer 5)

Those games you remember where the role players played mediocre didnt feature the rest of the team other than the superstar shooting 50% from the floor.

um did that old rockets team consistently shoot over 45%? NO (we have done that for the past 7-10 games but it seems like it's here to stay; hell we shot 48% with yao AND tmac struggling last night, which is a huge indicator)
um did that old rockets team consistently dish out 24-25 assists? NO
um did that old rockets team consistently finish out games like we have for the past 10 games? NO

those are the THREE MAJOR KEYS that i already see that we are better from the old teams. the old teams never consistently perform well offensively and choke down the stretch.

when tmac came back, we closed the door on the spurs, sonics, blazers, pacers, and now bucks.

we would have closed on the jazz had only we make our fts.

and that's the main difference from us being a good team to a great team -> CAN WE CLOSE OUT GAMES. the last 10 games say WE CAN.

No, but you can't tell a player to just stop shooting when he gets a wide open look. The difference is T-Mac wasn't taking those shots that he can make, but you might want to find a better shot in teh flow of the offense since he is off. T-Mac's 6 for 19 had more open looks than his 14 for 27 did tonight.

No one expects TMac to carry us alone no matter how well he plays. You are blaming him for last year's playoff losses and I pointed out otherwise. We lost because Yao was not as good as he is this year. Okur flat out owned him. Yao also couldn't rebound to save his life. You are just fooling yourself by blaming TMac and assuming everything else has remained the same.

This year though, Yao plays more minutes, he is a much better rebounder (IMO), he is not buttery finger and can actually catch TMac's passes much better. So if TMac plays the way he did in last year's playoffs, with Yao having improve and we have a better cast, sure we will get through!

I was defending TMac because he was not the reason we lost. We lost because in game 7, we gave away 5 offensive rebounds in the last 2 minutes and Yao had a total of 7 rebounds in that decisive game. I am not blinding blaming people as some of you YOFs do

Did Landry get a pass? He seemed written out of the script.

He did miss a good portion of the 1st and 2nd quarter with Bogut(s) foul trouble.

"The other news there is that the Rockets screwed up and put Mike James' name down twice on the active list and left off Steve Novak. So Novak can't play tonight in front of his home crowd, including his parents."
    :D

And Oh man, how disastrous it was :(

On a serious note, we adapted well to the situation IMO. Tmac as hot, and Yao wasn't so hot, so we used Tmac

Yao will get his shots, we all know that.

yeah, had a nice pass for an open J and he nailed it. The Bucks seemed content to let Bogut take Yao one on one. They didnt double off of the 4 like most other teams do. Rafer was 0 for 4 and Aaron was 1 for 5 on 3 point shots. Maybe the Bucks chose the right person to double with.
