ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Bobcats 3/24/2014

4th game winning streak here we come .

 

Remember how Al Jefferson would make Yao his personal hand puppet? For some reason, he really had Yao's number.

This game is certainly no gimmie, but it is one the Rockets have to have. No free lunches for the rest of the season. Must take them all seriously.

 

The Bobcats have just slaughtered the Blazers by 30 points last Saturday night, and the Pacers by 22 earlier this month.

Though they are 27th in 3-point defense, they have beaten the Warriors twice and the Blazers, two of the best 3-point shooting teams in the league.

They are #1 in defensive rebounding percentage in the league.*We are going to have a tough battle tonight without Howard at the post, and need Asik, TJones and DMo to step up for rebounding and scoring in the paint.

They are great at protecting the paint, our guards need to be more creative to get to the rim.

If our 3-pointers fall, we should be ok. Defense on Jefferson, Walker and Henderson will be the key.

 

The cats are no longer easy beats this year. We are only -3 for this game so I am hoping for an entertaining win!

 

Keep Durant under 30 on 30 shots or more and we win.

 

A tough match, they've been playing well at home.

 

Wait...Durant traded to Bobcats or it's his brother?

The first game of the season against them felt closer than it should have. This will be close,

 

Maybe it had to do with him hitting Dmo like that

Bobcats had a bump in the season when they went 1-8. Lately play well, Jefferson is a beast, play good team defense overall. Could be not so easy game for the Rockets.

 

It's gotta be pretty serious if Garcia is missing games. He's not the type of guy to sulk and not play.

Hope he/his family is okay.

charlotte has put a beating on good teams this season...

 

for a team that is one of the 6 teams that could win the title (SA,OKC, LAC, HOU, MIA, IND) gotta love all the crazy trade proposals...just shows you ppl are never satisfied....and the media needs something to talk about...anyways...rockets keep winning in preparation for their game with the clips this weekend

 

We need to shut down Harrington. THe offense goes through him. Kemba walker runs a nice PnR with him plus he has a crazy fast first step and utilize the hesitation very well. I see PBev shutting him down or at least slowing him down a bit but Bev might be too tired to score efficiently. McBob will be a problem with his interior passing and 3 point shot. T.Jone has a habit of not defending the 3 because he's not sure if it's a drive or a shot. Hopefully, he won't be making the same mistakes. This is one of those games where I would want Asik to start and Howard off the bench. Asik can shut down Harrington defensively while Harden cause havoc on the perimeter taking away harrington contribution on defense. THen Howard can go in and cause some interior damage with J.Lin slashing and dishing.
