he plays good defense so he's not useless. but offensively, since he's not a playmaker, we don't have a use for him much unless we run direct plays for him.

 

rox looks very rusty today, not good sigh. fifty fifty for the W. Just painful to watch brooks run the offense

 

rox's top pripority this summer-get a real PG
brooks is NOT starting material...he cant defend...

 

the point which i agreed with was that people are all over brooks no matter what he does, but when lowry struggles they say nothing. there is heavy favoritism on this board. people aren't judging fairly.

my quote was "thats why those people aren't nba coaches". they want their favorite player over the scape goat.

so please explain how watching the game will help me understand the mood on this board?

Man .... ever since the Cavs game , we been playing very badly.

 

they have to post him up more. if he's not making his 3's, and he's not a play maker (as you stated) then go to his strength. get him on the block against other SF's.

 

I smell another first round exit if we make the playoffs at all. I don't see us winning against all these playoff teams the next couple of games. We must be the most terrible road team in the league playing the way we play. Look at the difference between home and on the road, how can there be such a disparity ?? It's not like there are fans at the TC to cheer for them, at least not at the bottom and I don't hear no cheering except when there's a spectacular play, so what is it ?? No more depth perception at TC but on the road, tracy ??

the point is lowry at least tries to do what a PG does - pass the ball.

brooks shot the damn ball 3 straight times to end the first half there. yes he made them, but a PG's job isn't supposed to jack up shots.

again if you play your role, and bad things happen, fans can let it go. it's when you do things outside of your role that it gets frustrating.

that's why i am not criticizing artest despite another poor shooting game b/c he's not forcing anything unlike the lakers game.

 

Just tuned in...we should not be down by 2.


Hopefully they make the proper halftime adjustments.

 

We sure love to hate our starting PGs. Lowry would suffer the same fate if he begins to be the starter.

we already have yao and scola in the blocks. putting artest there REALLY clogs the paint and negates any penetration if he does kick it out.

 

wtf, AB has no assists for the whole half.

 

turning the ball over 3 times in a quarter isn't a stat, it just sucks.

 

brooks had zero assist at the first half, which clearly illustrates how "well" he is being a PG

 

Except Lowry has been our most consistent guard. This is really the only bad game he has had as a Rocket.

It's time to let him start, Brooks is nothing but a shooter.

 

Totally agree with you there. I brought this point up in relation to Yao's fronting problems but I think the coach needs to call more plays for Ron on the block even if Yao is on the floor at times.
