I fear these Bobcat games, so much opportunity for a letdown.
Okafur is from Houston also, maybe some extra motivation for him.

Hopefully the trend of double digit wins continues....maybe we can make this a triple digit win. =)

Yes, they have won their last FOUR home games. We definitely should not underestimate them!

I don't know. The Rockets.com schedule says yes. The Rockets PDF. thing says no. The Chronicle says yes and TV Guide.com says no. (On the TV Guide link you need to register) That's 2 for yes and 2 for no.

    :)

The general rule of thumb is that young players tend to choke when they come back home the first time or two on the opposing team. It's kinda sad for the youngsters, but it seems to happen about 80% of the time, from my observation. The odd kid will tear it up on his first home trip, but most of them are disappointments for both player and his family/friends. Maybe the pressure makes them grip too hard or something.

I say Emeka has a below average night ... just playin the percentages.

If the Rox Have Genuinely Reverted there game back to the Pre-JVG days Running game) we'll all be better off for it!. Anyhow, this game will be Close all the Way! I'm not gonna Understimate the Bobcats!. i think it's gonna be a Genuinely Tough for Us!

Oh yeah ... my game prediction:

Rockets get another double-digit win, but not as commandingly as the past two.

    Rockets 99 - Bobcats 89

    McGrady - 24p 8r 6a
    Yao - 21p 11r 5b
    Sura - 18p 6r 9a
    Dik - 6p 11r 5b
    JJ - 12p 5r 3a

    Lighthearted wishlist:

    - Emeka - 4pt 8r 0b 1a (his own family boos him in the fourth quarter)

    - Van Gundy gets tossed early in third after making his eight comment of the quarter to referree Steve Javie about a blown flagrant foul call just before halftime. VanG later calls Javie "a tapioca-dicked, low-rent Jake O'Donnell " in a postgame press conference. He is fined heavily for the comment, but Mark Cuban pays the fine as a show of solidarity. (As a historical aside, Javie never allows a single call to go the Rockets' way in any game he officiates for the rest of his 54-year career, making him the most hated man in Texas till he dies in 2046)

    - At the 7:20 mark of the fourth quarter, Tracy McGrady, laying in the weeds, pokes away a pass for a breakaway dunk. No one near him, he leaps from the free throw line and tomahawks the ball in up to his armpit, breaking the backboard. Darrell Dawkins pays the obligatory $500 fine for shattering the glass as a show of solidarity.

    - With Van Gundy fuming in the locker room, assistant Tom Thibodeau tries to counter a late third-quarter Bobcats surge by saying "Screw Mo Taylor!" He puts Motumbo in as PF with Yao. During the memorable final 2:46 of the quarter, the Rockets go on an 11-0 run as Yao and Motumbo combine to block seven straight shots to close out the quarter. Bobcats coach Bernie Bickerstaff has to be restrained from going after Motumbo after Dik does his third post-block finger wag in a row.

    Real wishlist:

Rockets get back to .500 by beating their last 3 opponents by an average of 16 pts and go to 6-2 in December.

I'll take that ... any naysayers?

    Rox slaughter the BobCats.

    Rox 106
    Bobcats 79

T-Mac and Yao sit out mid way through third quarter. All garbage time in 4th quarter.

T-Mac will only sit if he hasn't reached his scoring average....if he has then he will sit....

I think Houston will come out with the W, but it will be close. We ran last night and we arent used to that. Any team is a possible L.

this game worries me alot. the youngest team against the oldest team. we might get outhustled and lose. both teams have bad chemistry but tonight's outcome will be up to bob sura. i would love to see bobby become this team's third option. rox...90-74 if sura plays well.

the question will be if the rox can put last night behind them and focus for a win. the dallas rematch was proof this is something they need to work on.

bobcats will be dangerous... too close to call.
