As I mentioned in the game chat ...

I've missed the T-Mac/Yao pick and roll. I wonder why JVG went away from it last season - it has always been our deadliest offensive play.

When the Bobcats started to front and double team Yao aggressively, the introduction of the pick and roll is what broke down their defense, and ultimately what got us a chance to win the game.

All I have to say is THANK GOD! I can think of little worse than losing to the Bobcats. They're terrible. I still have knots in my stomach from that game. Whew! I'm very thankful for that win. I'm actually kind of excited that our team could play that poorly and still pull out the win. 6-1!!!!!! :D

Funny. It hasn't hurt the team through 7 games.

no, we wouldn't have came back under JVG. we were never a team to come from behind under JVG.

our clutch play has been tremendous this yr. v. lakers, the battier shot. v. utah, we stopped all their runs. v. spurs, yao was huge. v. bucks, we went on a 20-4 run to close it out. v. bobcats, tmac was mad clutch.

as you saw, our ability to close games is vastly better for the simple fact that tmac and yao have the legs to do that.

but other than that it's still similar to JVG.

Great freakin performance by Yao and Tracy (especially in the 4th) to lead the team to a win! Down by 10 in the 4th and fighting back to win is great!

Those Bobcats scrubs were pissing me off, like Matt Caroll thinking he is Ray Allen or something.

The defense at the end by Tracy was an AMAZING play! The Grizz are next!

    Go Rockets!!!!

I guess that the role players decided to take the night off. Good thing our two stars showed up big.

Glad we got the win, but it looks like the team is not much different from last year, still a two men team.

Good point! This is why we should get Scola more involved.

I´d like to have 20+ point blowouts against inferior team. We´re supposed to do that, plus I´d like to see Steve in garbage time at least.

By the way ALSTON IS ATROCIOUS. If he continues playing he will be the end of this team.

Yao was very efficient scoring, and Tmac was clutch on both ends of the floor.

Battier, although he was 0-4, deserves props for outstanding defense, note that the Rockets were +16 with him on the floor.

    6-1 :D

Technically it was Yao carries us to the finish with that critical offensive board...

u do remember the game 4 debacle last yr when 4 players scored right.

this team will go far if tmac and yao have less of a burden so they can have the energy to finish games and dominate in the playoffs.

I was watching the Bobcats telecast so I don't know if you guys saw this on the Rockets telecast or not. But as the game ended, Yao rushed to McGrady and bear hugged him from behind, then both proceeded to walk off the court with their arms around each other (waist area), talking and laughing.

    Disturbing stuff!
