No, choke city was worse, because everybody REALLY believed the city's sports teams were cursed back then. With the Oilers' choke against Buffalo, and the fact that the city had never won a championship, it really felt like the city had a curse on it.

This year? Just a young team making too many mistakes and losing to an equally talented team in the first round. Not really a choke, just a very evenly matched series that went the wrong way more times than it went the right way. That said, the fact the Rockets let the Blazers come back from a 10 point lead every single game is frustrating.

...and to make matters worse OKC & Pacers are blowing out the Lower seeds in their Game 7's.

Rockets fans said T-Rob was a bum. Well he looked like a quality player playing against the Rockets in this play-off series.

Why did they bring TJ in after the timeout before the last possession?

Bah...he's still a bum. He had a few plays where he was in the right place at the right time. The only play he has is the dunk. I've never seen so much potential squandered by a player. Every game I've seen him in...he has like 2 - 4 plays where he looks like a superstar and then...nothing.

And a BIG assist from the Portland shot clock manager.
NO WAY that shot gets off in time, unless he delays the clock as he did.
I don't know why that shot wasn't reviewed, but he DID get it off before the clock expired.
However, the clock didn't actually start when he touched the ball.
You can't catch, take 2 steps, jump and shoot in .9 seconds. The replay makes it obvious. But nobody questions the mismanagement of the clock.
Good job shot clock guy! For the WIN!

The coach is also like a pitmaster in Nascar. He does signals with whistles etc to let his players know to adjust in the fast break, warn them about defensive schemes, and of course read and make adjustments in timeouts.

Mchale fails in every possible way. So blaming Harden, Parsons, Lin, Howard and Asik or others is just pointless. It's all up to the coaching staff. So Sampson is gone? Well when he was here there were key games where basic defense didn't apply and for the longest time didn't with Sampson on the sidelines. Brooks, etc are all way better than Mchale's team, it's just undeniable that he's the worst coach in the league and won only with talent.

Rockets should have been the 3rd team from Texas to play against the Heat in the finals.

That would make the Heat playing against a Texas team 3 years in a row. :(

So what's the rockets' window like?

The window would HAVE to be pretty good?

We have a young core, built around 2 superstars who are less than 30 years of age (Dwight 28, Harden 24).

They're both contracted for 3 more seasons, so one might fairly assume that is the current window?

The team won't get worse in the off-season under the handling of Morey, he will make every effort to improve what we have, to turn us into a 60 win team.
