I want a new HC so we can figure out whether all our key players are really that bad at defending or if they just aren't properly coached.

For Blazers, giving the ball to Lillard for the last shot is like for the Rockets giving the ball Harden for the last shot. everyone simply knew that. Letting the ball be given to Lillard to take the last 3s shot (unfortunately it got in) with 0.9 second left and one foul to give, the coach had to be responsible for the defense draw play.

these kinds of scenarios have been seen way so many times in this season. Something is wrong with the coaching stuff.

    a good guy =/= a good coach.

Yeah but it's still an offensive foul.

You don't need to guess. Thibs gets role players to play actual defense. Budenholzer has the Atlanta offense looking like Spurs East.

    The problem isn't the players...

It's the lack of properly designed defensive and offensive schemes. It's the lack of properly planned and executed in bound plays.
It's the lack of smart substitutions and minutes management.
It's the lack of player accountability on both ends of the floor.
It's the lack of good communication in terms of what the coaches want to see executed on the floor.
It's the lack of situational adjustments to opposing line ups and adaptation to adjustments by the opposing coach.

Our team isn't executing anywhere near their potential given their level of talent because they don't have the benefit of good coaching.

Lots of raw talent, not much direction.

well that makes it worse...but he got the shot off with a release speed faster than 0.4 seconds...Even if the clock was started on time...

Why? Who hated them other than some bitter Lakers fans?

Please. He got it off in time. Even if the clock started late, he was so wide open, he only needed half a second to launch that.
