Because simply shuffling your feet fast and moving laterally the first 3 or 4 seconds staying in front of your man then in the 5th second getting beat is not good defense.

Probably. He is a huge guy body frame though. Depends whether he can hold his position against all the taller players.

Otherwise he would need to be a 3. He has the skill set to be our starting 3. Probably best off the bench regardless of how good he plays until he proves he is reliable. But I think his upside is way higher than Parsons.

That being said, he could easily just **** the bed this offseason and come into camp useless. Or not come to camp at all.

I love when I hear people saying that Dwight Howard wouldn't help much more than Asik. Gives me some solid chuckles.

The problem is that Garcia came back in as well. And he was hot in the first quarter, but completely ice cold in the second.

you would think that "guy from Pardon the Interruption" would host....he's sitting at the far left...

    I don't know...too many ex-NBA players broadcasting.....wish there was 1 "full-blooded" host and 1 knowledgeable ex-NBA player at a panel....

T-Rob is too small for Aldridge. Aldridge will just shoot over him

The host is usually a non NBA player who is experienced at broadcasting and is usually surrounded by former players. Helen is the actual host and sucks at it.

I will never understand why people think our players/coaches hate one another. No mcHale does not hate Lin and Harden does not hate Lin.

Exactly! People are crapping on him for the past few minutes of the 2nd quarter as if he's been playing like this the whole game when hes been playing exceptionally well in most of the game. I can make the same ridiculous arguments.

Because people see what they want to see. Lin's been a plus defender with great fundamental hand/feet positioning pretty much his entire career.

The criticisms that I agree with are that he helps out too much guarding against post play and that leaves his man open for 3. But that could be just our strategy as you could see that he's not doing that much today. Personally, I'd rather he didn't do that, unless there is a combination of a devasting post-player and a weak perimeter player. The second most valid criticism, imo, is that his lateral quickness is not good enough to guard quick guards. But really, noone can guard fast guards. Just look at whoever guards Lin. If the other team's guards penetrated as much as Lin does, we would be killing our guards up top for poor defense. Anyways, the Lin-Bev combo looked good defensively and offensively. Lin is sneaky strong and should be able to okay versus sg. And with Bev's speed, our guards would probably be too quick to handle. Can you imagine a TD/Beverley/Lin lineup causing defensive havoc, lol.
