Replace 24 yr old Harden with 24 yr old T-Mac and you have a dynasty in the making.

 

what's up with you man? I haven't seen a good post from you for awhile. all I see are against Lin and his supporters or anyone saying nice about lin. you are not this way before if I remember it.

 

Honestly. This Board has like the ****tiest fan I've seen in the whole NBA.

Houston DON"T deserve this series at all.

You know your a bad coach when your top assistant leaves and your team falls apart. That is on Morey and McHale. Unfortunately, I just think Morey is going to find McHale another highly regarded assistant and roll with McHale next year.

Also **** UH. You just have to take our best coach right before the playoffs. That really pisses me off and I think it has had a significant impact on this team and specifically James Harden. This is coming from a UH alumn too!

 

This was a tough game to lose. Lin made a huge error at a critical time in the game. He needs to learn from this if he wants to help the Rockets in the future. McHale made a mistake too in not calling a time-out after Lin secured the rebound and tried to dribble out of traffic. He said he knew what he wanted to see happen in that situation and when that didn't happen, he should of called the it himself.

Hopefully the Rockets will rally together after Mo William's trash talking at the end of the game instead of pointing fingers at each other. This is not the time to play the blame game. They need to stick together if they want any chance of coming back in this series.

lol. Somehow you must be looking at the wrong GARM, because the Lin hate has been strong since the Game 4 screw up.

100% exactly what I have been saying that this team has no identity for offense. no plays, no roles, people don't know what they are doing. comparing to miami is interesting though...

 

This is a really objective and thoughtful post, his handles are pretty damn shaky

 

Playoff basketball, there's a lot of that going on under the basket. Crazy how different the regular season is from the playoffs, but that's the reality of the game.

 

Now all we have to do is get Game 2, 1st half Howard to play alongside Game 4 Harden and we could win out.

Let's look at the bright side of this. We have at least one more game of Rockets basketball!!!! Yeah!!!!:grin:

He's (over)due for a monster game.

Game 5 will be it. I can feel it in my bones.

 

I just saw the last seconds again and Harden basically caused Beverley to turn it over. He brought Matthews over to double team by not even trying to set a good screen. I don't know why, probably because he didn't feel comfortable dribbling it up but wanted the ball right after. He just looked disinterested and not like a star player ready to take the team on his shoulders and force double overtime. I wouldn't have been as mad if we at least got a shot off, preferably by Daniels who was already open, if they had gotten to him quickly.

 

I've been pretty depressed about the loss, and until now, I wasn't in any mood to set foot in this thread.

But I can't stay away for too long.

Harden's shooting percentage was better in game 4, but he was definitely off his game at least for periods of the game. He seems to be over thinking everything he does. I think it's understandable because he wants to reverse the poor games he's had. But by not playing freely he doesn't get the team in the flow they are used to, and it's hard for everyone else to play the way they are accustomed.

Dwight Howard has stepped up his game pretty consistently. He's done well this post season.

Lin has messed up in many ways. His shooting has been off, his ball handling at crucial moments hasn't been the best, and he's missed layups. Some of his decision making hasn't been great either. But he also seems like he puts a lot of pressure on himself. He's not the only reason we lost, and I blame the team for losing game 4, not just Jeremy Lin.

Most of the series the Rockets haven't played their type of basketball. That might be because of Portland's defense. It might be because of nerves, or the way they deal with the pressure. It doesn't really matter why. The Rockets need play the way they can and get past all of these hurdles.

It seems like most of what's cost us these really close games has been mental errors. Hopefully the team can just go out there and play rather than over think every step they need to do.

 

Annnnd we are back up by 14. Jeez you better have a strong heart
