This is the most respectful playoff thread I've seen in years, amazing what happeds when we're not facing Dallas or Utah and actually have a modicum of respect for our opponents.

Where are the photoshop pictures of Brandon Roy in various gay situations? :p

The playoffs depend on how well Coach Adelman coaches. We have the talent to win! Coach must use substitutions wisely, not over play players, have tatics in place to assist Yao Ming to have agreat game, but most of all each player must be instructed and reminded of what his role is, especially Brooks!
Broooks must be told get open and shoot threes, if not go to the basket and pass off, be sure to pass to Yao when he calls for the ball. Artest should be reminded that he should let the game come to him,he should go to the basket more and draw fouls or pass of to Yao . If his three is off then the playoffs is not the place to attempt 10 threes and only make one.
The coach should play Wafer with both the starters and with our back ups and Point Guards especially should be reminded to always pass to an open Wafer. Scola should be reminded that he is an olympic champion and must play upto his full potential. All players should be reminded of not to try low percentage shots, such as going to the basket against three defenders who are all taller that you and not passing the ball. Tonight Coach, you need emotion and you need to inspire this team to be great:p

Rox might not get this 1st game, but I think they will in game 2 , but even if Rox do manage to get one on the road they should not let up, they have given series leads up way too much. If Ron just focused on D and not on jacking up shots, Rox will win, and then maybe will sign you up this offseason.

Laker fan here.. Its my first post here and im happy to be with you guys.. i`v been watching all ur posts for the last few weeks or so.. :p
Anyway.. I just think that the rockets have the ability to steal one in portland more than portland stealing 1 in houston.. so i guess this one goes 6 and with houston winning game 6 at home and advancing.. Those blazers are very athelitic and tough but the rockets are just better and tougher defensivly and will dominate portland in houston.. good luck for u guys and i hope Yoa has a hell of a series :)

    Welcome and Thanks....
Ya we have given the blazers match up problems
and if it wasn't for Roy, we would have a 3-0 season series against them...
but all that is thrown out..it all comes down to what u do starting tomorrow...
The rockets know how arenas get in the playoffs by playing in utah the last couple of years and that will help them in Portland.

I agree the rockets should win in 6 and i believe they are ready to win a playoff series with this group(finally)

The X factor will be Artest of course since u never know what to expect from him..this is the reason we got him and we hope he can help lead with Yao some wins and finally get the monkey of the back of that first round series for most of the rocket players.

If Aldridge gets it going I hope RA is not to slow to react. As long as the other team is not fronting Yao I wouldn't mind seeing Hayes get extended minutes. Of course if they are fronting Yao you need guys who can knock down open jumpers. I also believe Scloa would excel being on the court without Yao. He has the ablility to create his on shot on the block.

I heard AB will be benched and Lowry will be starting. Any confirmation on this?

I already know Aldridge will get it going

Judging from the last game against houston, he had a really good game and was knocking down a lot of shots

The chuckwagon will have the task of stopping him and he can do it

Yao needs to dominate Prysbilla and Oden and get to the free throw line

Battier and Artest need to shut down Roy

Wafer and Lowry need to drive to the basket when they are in the game
I can see Lowry playing a big chunk of the minutes as it looks like he has been getting a lot over the last few games

awww man cant wait for this game to get underway

    You are most welcome ;)

I really believe the rockets will get to the 2nd round .. that Roy shot was really big! you guys have dominated them last couple of years .. and YES as u said it all starts from game 1 and what & how the rockets will perform..
as for Ron Artest he will have his hands full of the defensive end becuz they got some very athelitic players so he has to come out ready to play.. in order for the houston to do well the offence needs to start with Yoa.. and when the game gets tight sometimes they need to slow it down and play through YOA and dont go with those quick three`s.. this will be key :)

Then we'll have fun against your team haha
but we are not looking to that yet...can't underestimate portland

I think Portland, even though they are playing at home, might get a bit intimated about how loud their arena is going to be....They usually have a great crowd anyways, but they are going to be even louder tomorrow..

its just going to be fun and exciting and were just hoping the rockets come out on top

Yepp Ron and Battier will be busy and hopefully foul trouble doesn't become an issue...our most reliable 3 point shooter lately has been Battier and he is picking a great time to pick it up...Our bench with Wafer and Landry will be key too but Landry plays real good in the playoffs and we dont know what to expect from Wafer but im sure he is ready for this

haha well lets not go that far.. its way to early to talk about that laker rocket thing we need to finish off the jazz and the blazers which wont be easy at all.. this is the west man.. very tough.. I cant wait by the way to face the rockets cuz i respect that team so much and it will be a hell of a series should we meet.. but anyway.. a young team like portland will feed off big time from their fans.. Rose garden is one of the toughest places of all time.. and it will be up to Yoa Artest to lock down the defensive end.. plus im wondering how would houston`s bench play in streches cuz that could either help or put the rockets in deep trouble if they can`t match the blazers` intensity.. and yeah battier needs to be at his best and shoots at least 45% from the three p line

Stephan A Smith, Claims it's going to come down to Ron Artest vs Brandon Roy..... Will the refs allow Ron to be physical with roy????

I don't like Smith, but this sounds about right .

LA is afraid of us and Portland.

Which means they have been handed the championship.

It is our holy duty to take them down

Roy will get his points and will do his thing.. this guy is way too good to be handled.. its the likes of travis outlow, aldridge and fernandiz who might make it hard for the rockets.. so i say let Roy do his think and try to shutdown those guys

Rockets and blazers match up very well with the lakers.. it doesnt mean we are afraid of them.. but in this league its all about matchups.. and those 2 teams match up very well with us thats why we know it wont be easy.. but (afraid) is just not right :)
