It's funny how the Rockets win big games when they actually get multiple teammates playing basketball well.

It's almost like basketball teams depend on more than one person...

And that problem is 100% attributed to Dwight because of his inability to develop anything resembling a jumpshot his entire career.

This is why I was hoping he would've been traded and now I'm hoping we do not keep him and go hard after any good big that can make jumpers like Cousins or even a stretch 5.

Dwight owned the paint over the last 18 minutes of the game last night. It was remarkable to watch.

That was a great win, I'm not going to get over excited since, you know, it's the 2016 Rockets, but I thoroughly enjoyed that game.

The defense from midway through the 3rd to the end of the game was just stifling, that was the first time I've seen us play defense that great since game 6 in LA last year. All year the Rockets have totally floundered on that end but somehow they woke up during that stretch. Makes me miss last year when you could count on great defense like that almost night in and night out.

Harden had a great performance too, not only was he on fire offensively obviously, but his defense in the 2nd half was as good as it was last year for him as well.

Posts like this are a terrible reflection on the Rockets fandom.

    Howard last night:
Made 8 shots on 10 attempts for
    19 points
    13 boards
    3 blocks
    2 steals
    2 assists

And completely controlled the paint and glass for the amazing lockdown D in the 4th quarter.

We don't deserve nothing if this is how our fandom fails to acknowledge the importance of superstar contributions from a dominant big. We don't deserve nothing. Nuh-thing.

We're no better than the Steve A Smiths, Skip Baylesses, Charles Barkleys and all the other media boobs.

    For shame.

This game was also eerily similar to the game we had 2 weeks ago against them. Portland got off to a big lead but the Rockets made a comeback and got back into the game by the 4th quarter. The first time, the Blazers immediately went on a 7-0 run and killed the game, last night, the Rockets sustained their run and took over.

His confidence is down, but we need to roll with him. Capela & TJ or small ball is not going to cut it. Just hope he turns it around.

He's better than Jones, that's all that matters right now.

It never fails that when most of us turn in for the night and go to sleep...the Rockets get their heads out of their you-know-whats and do something special.

I'm going to watch the second half of this game later on NBA game time and see what I missed.

The Rockets came back from 21 down in the 3rd. I'm still kind of in shock given the way Portland had been playing. Of course, Portland's excuse was "we got comfortable and, when you get comfortable, you forget how hard it is to do when you are playing well and kind of take it for granted" (the gist of the excuse I read). LOL...I loved reading that one!

Couldnt agree more. The few times Harden switched on to Lillard made me nervous, but he held his own against Lillard. I was pleasantly surprised he didnt end up with 50+ again.

His game hasn't disappeared. JB's rotations are complete garbage. Smith was getting nearly 28 mins/game last year (if i'm not mistaken), and only getting around 15-18 this year. He needs to develop some rhythm. Same goes for some of our other bench players - JB's rotations have been so wonky that nobody knows when or how much they'll play.

Yeah he's trash... he should be traded.

Seriously tho... i would MUCH RATHER him avg in the low/mid 20's in points and play defense like he did in the 2nd half last night.

blaming JB for Smith being irrelevant as a player now is complete denial. He is no longer a dependable player in this league. It doesn't matter what he did last year. Just accept it. You really thought going from the Clips to Houston, he was going to just all of a sudden turn his season around. That the Clips were just holding him back. No, that just JS reaching the end of his career as a contributor on a winning team.
