    Boki has gotta hit that 3 pointer. Man...if he can hit a consistent 3 pointer, JJ can sit for a longer stretch of time.

    Yao needs to master Dream's defensive technique from the latter part of his career. Dream would step up, and just stand there with both hands up. He didn't try to take a charge, and he didn't jump. A lot of times he could change the shot and get the rebound at the same time. Yao needs to get this down. The refs will allow some contact if he just establishes his position and stands his ground. Hopefully.

    I don't remember last year him having so many problems at defense and all these foul calls on the block.

    But then again we had Cato who took much of the weak side support and the hard fouls in the paint and the many fouls Yao would have received than he actually got. We really miss this kind of bruiser as Yao's shadow in the paint becus the way things are going Ming is going get close to fouling out each time on the road everytime somebody
    drives down the lane.

    If I was Portland I would keep driving down on Yao and get him fouled out. Really simple strategy since the refs are not gonna call a charge plus Ming has never dished out a hard foul in his career -I don't even think accidently.

    If Yao stood up and with his hands up, he would be and actually he was acused on the this board by tons of "experts" here for "crying sissy", "truly pathetic" etc. First of all, Yao's footstep is slow, no where near Dream's, let's get this straight at first. Second, you also have to look at the way it is officiated now, it's just too subjective nowadays. Somebody drives with full speed, no matter how strong how tall you are, if you are not trying to draw a charge, you would surely be bumped moved your feet, it would be a faul on you. If he tries, well, he's 7'6, according to the logics of some posters here, that's a true pathetic move, no refs are going to give you that. If he jumps, even straight, if there is touch, just like his second and third faul, you see what happened. Did you ever see Shaq get dunked on? No, he's stronger, but also, coz he never tried to stop anything by doing helf defense. He leaves his PF to do that job, no you tell me, who can help Yao in houston's uniform. Looking good is not part of Yao's concern in games. At least he's still trying. If JVG can't figure out a way to help him, instead just blame him moving slowly, hell, I don't know what can help the Rockets. Yes, he IS slow, coz he's 7'6!

    Ugh, I just got in an argument with some people on another forum. They said that the Rockets aren't good because they don't play defense.

    Anyways, I'm really starting to like the way our team is looking. Our bench is better than I thought it would be.
