    Prediction:

Yao Ming breaks out of last game's slump, winning the opening tip, scoring 30 points, grabbing 15 rebounds and dishing out 7 assists. He also is superb on the defensive end, finishing with three blocks and several intimidations.

Yao plays well even after getting his fifth foul. Yao demonstrates strength, tenacity and determination as he holds onto rebounds, clings onto balls that were once before stripped by smaller, quicker players.

    T-Mac contributes with 25 points, 10 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks.

Postgame quotes from T-Mac: "Yao was just sensational; he dominated every facet of the game. His confidence is rising. I look forward to seeing us dominate the rest of the reason."

    Rockets 97
    Blazers 85

All speculative of course, but I believe in staying positive.

Yao will struggle again. But T-Mac will save the day again with his clutch shooting.

Oh, Big Ben will miss 11/30 game against the Rox (last one of his six).

Too bad, JO will come back just in time for the 01/18 game.

That first offensive foul was it. There has been some horrible calls against him but to call an offensive foul him when Theo Ratliff pushed him in the back with his hands... its like watching something out of the twilight zone.

they have got to stop this home court advantage foul calling doctrine.

Why can't a foul be a foul no matter if it's home court or not?

Yao just made the first set jump shot of the season. We'll see if it means anything as far as confidence goes. It doesn't hurt that he dunked on Ratliff.

I think that will never happen with David Stern at the helm. Game management is always a factor by the referees nowadays. Look at what David Stern did to the Pacers. The suspensions levied were punitive. David Stern is basically making the fans coming to game #1. I can't disagree with his strategy because the economy is not strong enough to alienate hardcore fans going to the game.

Why even bother to start Yao if he can't even finish the game??Yao is a part-time NBA player. If he's not winded he's in foul trouble. Rox will be lucky if they get him for 28 mins a game. :D
