Somehow we gotta keep their PF ZAck and their PG's from lighting up the pinball machine defense we call our PF's and PG's.

How has Yao done against Ratliff in the past?

Too bad Sura is not ready, I've been looking at his stats and our current PG stats on 82games.com and I can only see him improving us.

and I sure would like to see Padgett get some time tonight esp. since he is very well rested. :D

    Hopeful we continue to improve.

ratliff is yaos favorite player to dunk on it seems. remember that emphatic dunk his rookie year on the man, where he got his first tech foul for taunting. and he had a really sweet dunk on him last year as well, almost a mirror image of the first dunk.

Jeff Van Gundy has a monster coaching game. Dishes out the timeouts conservatively and approaches the referees in complaint with an elegance and grace that only Gundles can show.

    Houston Van Gundies - 110

    Portland Trailblisters - 74

    The Houston Celtics

    Prediction:

    T-mac takes 15 3's and makes 1

    Ward takes 8 3's and makes 0
    Jackson takes 7 3's and makes 1

    Lue takes 2 3's and makes 2
Nachbar takes 1 3pointer and makes it (plays 7 mins)

Van Gundy's 4th Quarter strategy...just shoot 3's all quarter so the other team can score some quick points off our misses.

Outcome: Rockets LOSE in 4th quarter; 88-92 Portland.

Totally agree. This WILL BE a break-out game for coach Gundy.

    CHronicle is wrong.....

Ill believe the TV schedule from rockets.com over them.

it will be on FSN-SW (channel 37 on TW)

rockets struggle...but put them away in the end.

You guys are holding on to some hope, I can appreciate that. My hope in Van Gundy is long gone...I'm ready for a coach who knows how to run an offense.

    Unclear.

The rockets.com schedule (link) says FSN.

But at then end of yesterday's game, Bill Worrell said it would be on 51. Also, Zap2it shows that it'll be shown at 7:00, then repeated at 9:30. Zap2it has been wrong before, though, and Worrell may have misspoke.

I'm setting my VCR to 51 anyway just in case.

yea..this is weird....I just checked all of the listings I can find..the only one that says FSN is rockets.com

my cap card listings dont show it on either...and my TW istings show it on KNWS51.

I wish the damn tv networks would get their listings right....it makes it hard to record if oyu dont know which channel it is on.

I think Yao has another good game. He has shown that he comes back well after subpar games this season and he seems to get up to play against Ratliff. Remember that dunk he put down in Ratliff's grill last season and the yell? Sick. Yao has a good game and they don't have anyone to slow down TMac. The win or loss, or amount of either, will be a result to how well JJ, Nachbar, Ward, Lue, MoT & Howard shoot it from the outside. I think they rebound after a few subpar shooting games and win another.

    Rox: 92
    Blazers: 85

I will be pissed off if I miss 2 games in a row.

Atleast the Texans are playing tonight too.

It seemed the extra practice the Rockets had last Friday helped them play well against the clippers and hopefully the same will be true for tonite's game. The Rockets must rebound as a team. Yao, Howard, and Taylor are weak rebounders... BUT Jim Jackson, and Tracy Mcgrady are excellent rebounders at there position so if we rebound as a team we will be ok.

Also I think the Rockets need to ditch the 3 point shot unless the shot clock is under 10.... If Houston relentlessly attacks the basket with Yao and T mac and the other players shoot the mid range jumper instead of the three the Rockets have a good shot at this one.... If Houston keeps jacking up threes then portland will come from behind and beat us.

Does anyone know why this is scheduled as early as it is? I was expecting a 9:30 local start playing in Portland. Not that I'm complaing, just curious.

Van Chancellor mentioned the next game (this game) as being "tomorrow, or it may be Monday.....".

He didn't even know what day the next game was. I don't believe that anybody knows what the hell is going on.
