They had 13 more shots and 9 more FT mainly because of our 14 turnovers. :(

Has anyone noticed how Yao rebounds....with a one handed tip to himself or another player (either team). Has he ever been taught how to rebound with both hands?

    Here's the Blazers....

Shoot up a "crappy shot" and then everyone goes to the boards for the rebound for easy bucket.

When everyone on the Rockets are standing around watching the shot, the Blazers are already in the paint waiting for the rebound chance.

I know updating the score is inappropriate but we are only down by 5! 4th qtr 66-71.
    Let's go Rockets!

The Blazers tightened up their defense in the 2nd quarter and once the the Rockets offense stopped their defense also collapsed.
They haven't defended the pick and roll and have been beaten on the boards and Portland has scored easy baskets.
Mo is in iso mode, Mobley has taken stupid shots,Francis also can't figure out what to do. Great defense on Yao since the 1st quarter and we can't even hit our free throws.
We are a lottery type team.

    ROCKET!!!,

Yes I've noticed that. He does NOT rebound correctly. HE needs a course in rebounds from the school of "Kevin McHale of hard knocks!"

Go up with both hands and GRAB that board!!!!! Keep the ball above your head! Never bring it down for the guards to swipe at....

I think the reasons are two fold:

One, he's used to being taller than everyone else, so he can get away with rebounding with ONE hand in China.

Two, he's afraid that people will hit him in the ribs when he goes up for the rebound.

2 things that have killed us, are killing us, and will kill us:

    1) NO OFFENSE - Thank the Lord we are the best defensive team, cause with this offense we would totally get killed day in day out.

    2) TOO MANY TO'S - This can never be stressed too much. Especially when at least half of them are really really stupid TO's, like back court violations and 8 second violations and dribble dribble dribble dribble dribble dribble oops!

in addition to these two major flaws, another thing is digging our graves - REBOUNDS! Can't get a board to save our lives! Oh yeah, and what's with the constant 3 pointers?!? I mean, if we're hitting them...great. But if we keep missing, why do we keep taking them? Oh, I know....WE CAN'T PLAY AGAINST THE ZONE!!!

    man oh man.

    reason for Mobely offensive foul:

poor space on a fast break. Why run directly behind the defender? All he has to do is turn around and draw the charge.
