    it really almost makes you think there's a conspiracy against yao. i mean he's from a key international market, never gets in trouble, is good, and never complains. all of those should make him get pretty good calls. and yet he doesn't even get normal calls, he is just mauled by the refs every single game.

    if he's in the lane for 3.1 seconds, they call the first 3 second call in a week. if he puts his arm out, it's an offensive foul. if he dares bump someone off, that's a foul. if he challenges someone, that's a foul. if people reach in against him, it's almost never called. he can get held, 2 arms in the back, pushed, shoved, and nothing. go over his back? who cares. i mean it's just amazing. they look for anything they can to call on him and never give him a break.

    Nah. It wasn't a jinx. It was already over when Yao got his first free throws and reached 20 points. The Rockets are a ridiculous 24-2 when Yao scores 20 points or more.
