brooks is the starter the rest of the year. lowry needs to work on his 3 point shot over the summer and go through training camp to really get the ins and outs of adelmans system before they hand him the keys to the car.

has he even been in an end of game for us (or anybody?), except for throwing away the inbound pass to end the chicago meltdown?

has he been in for any except the same chicago meltdown? not that he didn't suck badly, but i would think rafer was in for the others.

they're both marginal starters, nice backups who are better at different things. brooks actually make jumpers and, for most of the season at least, has been pretty good penetrating and finishing in the halfcourt. lowry defends, can't shoot, and can get inside and lead a break. if lowry had been on our team the last 2 years and we traded for brooks, lowry would probably be the starter. but it was the other way around so brooks starts.

id rather them play confidently and aggressively. shoot through your slump. they're both very good shooters. the law of averages will balance them out eventually.

AB was always a great spark off the bench. So he would do well if he were switched to not starting again. coming off the bench he would have to worry less about distributing and passing to Yao. However, I'm a bit concerned about Lowry's 3 point shooting percentage if he is starting as we need people on the perimeter to stretch the D and to play off the double teams on Yao.

Career 38% and 40% shooters are not good shooters if you don't compare them with Rafer. Law of average will bring you nowhere.

very well put. inconsistency is just part of the growing pains that both of these young guards will go through. we can't come down on brooks for a bad game here or there.

he barely spent time in the rotation last year and all of a sudden he's a starter.

exactly. for better or worse we need empowered role players. empowered or aggressive or gutsy, whatever you want to call it, guys who will go get their own shot and actually have the ability to do so are needed. running 100 straight plays through yao has not proven to be a great strategy. letting artest jack up too many 20 footers won't usually work. guys who the opponent has to account for are what we need, warts and all. especially young guys like brooks and lowry who should be using this time getting used to taking these shots/making these plays.

Adelman is not that conservative, he does not hesitate to make changes.

Artest dribbling around the world and ignoring Yao who's waving madly for the ball.....and we get a 24 second violation.

some people would be happier with role players who dont want the ball. like hayes, shane, and rafer. force the ball into yao and let the defence double and rotate.

i'd rather a team where everyone can make a play. may not work every time but its better than not trying.

i think yao may have actually turned into a tree and grown roots on that play. scola's shot could have been rebounded but yao was just stuck.

yao costs us a 3, then gives up a 3 while missing an easy shot, scola gets blocked, and something else.
