    Yao ought to go for a career night, but these guys scare me for some reason. Seems like they matchup well against us with Vince and Bosh. Memphis should be running them into the ground tonight so they should be exhausted tomorrow.

    I do miss the days of taunting the visiting team during the starting lineup intro with an appropriate theme song. My favorite was when they played Bruce Springsteen's "Streets of Philadelphia" when the Sixers came to town in the '95-'96 season. They really really really sucked that year if you'll recall.

    Unfortunatly that doesn't mean anything considering Dampier pushed him everywhere on the floor. Just cause they are smaller doesn't mean he will have a career game.

    Dampier... I find it hard to say his name, now. He should have fouled out in the first 5 minutes of that game. :mad:

    But I totally agree with your point. Yao must be the hardest player in the NBA to predict in terms of what teams he'll go off on . He very rarely utterly stinks (though he did against GS). But you can never tell if he's going to have a quiet 16 and 8... or dominate.

    Though I will say this: Yao's progress from having a quiet 10 and 7 to having a quiet 16 and 8 is indicative of his overall improvement.

    Yeah he is definetly hard to perdict i will certainly say that. But it don't think it's just the centers he faces that give him a hard time, all be it that the more physicall ones tend to push him out of the box.

    It is the teams total defense that bothers Yao. Where the double team comes from, if they play zone or not. He has to change his style a lot more that some of the other players do since he is the focal of attack.

    But in time he will get used to changing and knowing how to go about other teams. Just the fact that he can shoot the jumper will help him go a long way once he is more confident in taking the shot they give him when the lax off of him.

    Nice idea! You forgott the 'BUT'or 'ONLY IF' the Guards must go through Yao Ming and they do this by passing him the ball when he is open and calling for it!

    Anyone going to the game tomorrow? I will be attending my first game with my wife and I don't mind hooking up with other BBSers going to Toyota Center. Also does anyone out there have any parking tips they can share with me (paid or otherwise)?

    I fear another let down. We have to beat them. The erratic performances makes it difficult to win. Improved execution,ball movement and defense is needed especially when other teams are making a run.

    Grrrrrrrr, I've hit a dry spell these last few games.
