Great 1st half hopefully we don't allow them back in the game in the 2nd half.

We really need to finish them off in the 3rd because the guys could use a short night of work.

I still can't believe some people want to trade or bench this guy. I'm not just saying this because of tonight, but in general this season, he has been improving noticeably the more playing time he gets. It is so hard to find a well-rounded scorer like Brooks who can not only hit from anywhere on the court but can handle the ball well and create his own shots.

Anyone who wants to bench or trade Brooks is an idiot.

Great first half, Martin is really comming along. (Even though he had a couple of bad passes, and that halarious flop)

Guys if you want to see something funny, just watch David Anderson for about 48 seconds. His awkwardness is halarious.

Have they been working on getting the big men to pass to perimeter players cutting to the basket? Both Hayes and Andersen have had some excellent passes in the first half.

I think most people would only trade him in a package for Bosh and no one is saying bench the dude(at least I hope not) but bringing him off the bench as an energy guy, ala Manu or Terry, might be an idea to even out the team next season.

To be fair, isn't Toronto one of the worst defensive teams in the league?

On top of that, no Bosh.

We're supposed to be able to score a lot of points on them.

AB shooting great but he had some bad times VS Banks. He would be perfect if used more tools to open up offense.

True, that's part of why I said I wasn't just saying it because of tonight... also, because it's only one game. But I just can't believe people haven't noticed the improvement Brooks has been making. Have you noticed how his midrange game has been coming along the past ten or twenty games? For him to pull up and hit jumpers like he has been doing would have been a foreign concept at the beginning of the season. And people laugh when you say he's going to become a star--well, if he keeps improving like this, he will do so easily.

but...but...but he'll take shots away from Yao! Yao really needs those sitting in a suit from the bench! ;)

Brooks also played almost 18 min straight to start the game.

Get an already poor defender fatigued and his defense will get even worse.

Banks was fresh and he also took it to Temple a couple of times.

thats not true at all, go look at the Trugoy's threads, they are designed so lowry can start.

Or at least even out our offense/defense, since Brooks and Martin together on the court is the equivalent of having a turnstile as your perimeter defense. Lowry + Martin is better than Brooks + Ariza/Budinger, so that's the duo that should start, with the other coming off the bench.

Offense is only 50% of the game, people. Next year when we care about winning again we're going to have to account for that.
