ClutchFans Game Thread: Raptors @ Rockets 2/2/2024

Great game by the young guys, but many are missing how bad the Raptors are especially in the paint

 

This is definitely the best Tomato sauce, grew up with it, sucks I can't get in Japan.

 

The Rockets demolished the Raptors and before that the Hornets, two teams with very poor interior D and not a lot of size in the frontcourt.

Kudos for doing their jobs, but now their next game is against the Timberwolves, who are pretty much the opposite of Toronto and Charlotte on defense. Also, Houston got crushed by Minnesota a month back, so it'll be interesting to see if they'll be able to make any adjustments.

 

Wow. Just finishing the game. Amen and Cam looked amazing, as did basically everyone else.

First I’ve really seen Amen consistently finish at the rim on his shifty moves.

I still don’t know how Alpi made that pass early in the game…

 

Or think he is a genius for drafting them. I can't blame presti for Durant leaving and I am not sure if not giving harden what he wanted was presti or ownership. But to hit on those 3 guys is impressive

 

Exactly - nice highlight film plays but the tankishness of the Raptors was off the charts


Like when they had OG, Siakam, FVV sure, they were small but they had all defense quality guys who played passing lanes a lot.

Now they don't even have that (and are openly trying to lose this year)

 

The behind the back pass from Whitmore to uncle Jeff Green for the layup , made me laugh!

 

Yes, I was surprised that it was non existent.

Even Hollíns said Amen worked Dick over so nasty to the hole (cup).

 

Oh, they are a terrible team that is trying to lose at an organizational level--but you still have to take care of business. We didn't do so against Portland, but we did in spades last night.

 

The funniest thing about this is everybody on the floor got around except the one perso ln you know would get involved. Dillon was 10 feet away jsut observing lol. My cousins kept asking where Dillon where all this is happening and then at the end when FVV walking away he pops into the screen.

 

All these sophomoric jokes, we need to stop dicking around.

 

So in summary. Team played well. Offense flowed. Green played well. Naturally we should trade green. Ok.
