Easily the sloppiest game of the year. Hopefully it remains that way.

 

Take away the three-point line and the rockets struggle who would have thought LOL

 

I really think MDA needs to go back to starting Gordon. It's a synergy. They get off to a good start and have a better consistency the whole game. MDA is still troubling me with his substitution patterns. And I think I missed something, but why did Nene only play 6 minutes tonight? I do want Harrell to get some minutes, but not at Clint and Nene's minutes. Harrell needs to get a few backup 4 minutes along side Clint or Nene to control the boards.

 

well on the bright side, Dwert had 23 pts and 20 rebounds tonight. So he fell short of 25/21.

I don't think this team is capable of putting together a lengthy win streak.

 

James has GOT to realize that his turnovers mean as much to this team, in the opposite direction, as does his assists. If he wants this team to be a contender while he runs the point, he has to keep his turnovers below 4 a game. It's really that simple because if he isn't turning the ball over, we are super efficient ultimately throughout an entire game.

 

No one cares about Dwight. If you like him so much go become a Hawks fan and stop trolling.

 

What a disgraceful game. Harden played like a coward. Was not even looking to score. When he got going he was throwing the damn ball over . Hell he was throwing it away before he got going on offense as well. Anderson is trash if he is not hitting his 3's he brings nothing but bad defense and turnovers to the table. Gordon has regressed badly.

 

You are correct, simply because we don't have enough weapons. In all honesty for the most part our defensive effort isn't too bad. But it's just way too easy for teams to load up on Harden and take us out of the game. Sure, it doesn't help when harden takes 5 shots in a half, but give raptors credit where its due for neutralising our entire offensive scheme.

That's my issue with this team, he's got more responsibility than ever. Yeah he will get his assist numbers and it may look great in some games but BBall holic is right, we need to find a balance of letting him create for others and getting his. The balance is non existent currently. He is a gifted passer but he's also not disciplined, which means if you load up on him and take away his drives you get a result similar to tonight. Expect more of the same going forward unfortunately until Morey (LOL) changes things up with the roster.

 

Harden's 12 TOs is the third most all time in a regular season game

The thing is some of them, maybe even half of them, are just dumb/lazy passes, and that's just on him tbh.

Maybe we got fat & happy. We've been on the road, think home is a safe place & don't play with fire. This was a desperate team. First half, dug too big a hole. Low energy, they played well. When you have low energy, you can't shoot & turn the ball over and that's more or less the game. We weren't sharp. Didn't move the ball. Didn't drive & kick. Guys got too much one on one. Too much this & that.

(James) He's gonna have games like that. If you're not ready to play & we weren't...as long as we learn from it. We got fat & happy. We have to play with a chip on our shoulder.

You're a champion because you have a big heart & play hard. You won't play well all the time. Detroit, we did not play well but played hard. We did not play hard tonight. It happens during the season. If we learn, OK, just one game. If not, we have troubles.
