Good game. Defense was great again and the offense just continues to roll.

Rafer is really showing the player we saw in Jan. and Feb. of last season. When he has the players around him, he is a top-tier PG. Yes, I said it.

What impressed me was Luther Head's play tonight.

I dunno, the way Luther played in the 2nd-quater, the Rockets and JVG have their back-up PG.

He did everything you would ask of your back-up. He brought the ball up (even in some pressure), got the ball where it needed to be, he played good defense on the other team's PG and he hit open shots.

After this game, as far as I'm concerned, Spanoulis and Lucas are battling for who is the 3rd PG and who is on the inactive list.

There is still a lot of ball to be played before that decision is made but Luther is really showing a much improved play at the 1 and that's exciting.

Like someone said b4, Spanoulis was really outa control. Didn't seem to make any attempt at all to play in a system.

Tracy played most of the 1st half and looked superb. No Bonzi. Shane looked OK but this game was clearly another evaluation game for the lesser players.

Snyder impressed me a lot. I like his attack attitude. If he attacks the basket like that when Tracy and Yao are double-teamed, we have a keeper. His intensity and physicality on defense are also welcome. In addition to Battier, he may be the kind of player we can put on Dirk.

Chuck Hayes has got to use his big head and stop fouling. Hopefully he will snap to it after watching the game tape.

I think we will be fine from the 3 pt line this season. We hit almost 15 today at a decent clip.

Hopefully we can see more of our real team against the Mavs and Bucks next week. Bonzi and Yao need to bond on offense with Tracy, Shane and Rafer and develop some chemistry.

I wonder who started the 4th for us to get us outscored big time 15-3!!!!?
Please cut Jacobson. Anyone read his blog?! He sure knows how to reason man~
If you don't play well, prepare and comeback big next game! Don't whinge! I can't believe he reasoned "Tmac was 0for5 but his our starter......" WTF yal? He gotta know the diffce between him and Tmac, a SuperStar is the CONFIDENCE level! Tmac can go from 0-9 in one quarter and comeback to nail 8for11 (the first game after he's back from back injury VS Nets in 2005).

Love Luther Heads guys! Ain't no want to see/hear any Luther haters in Clutch Town!!! The guy is hard working, athletic, confident, high bball IQ, he's a winner yal!

    go 2006-2007 rockets!!

I would love for vspan to get a couple months in the D-league in just to get adjusted and work on his shot. plus I want to be able to watch him here in austin :)

hopefully JL3 will turn it around, even if he doesn't we didn't risk a ton on him.

He has a very difficult adjustment and it will show even more when regular season game intensity is involved. Plus his shooting is awful. But V-Span has a knack for slick passing and aggressive defense that needs tweaking to fit the NBA. He may not be that effective this year but he's definitely a keeper.

Na. The second half he was out there with either Alston or Lucas. He did still bring the ball up at times, but not to the extent of the second quater.

    ESPN reports the score:
    1 2 3 4 T
    ATL 20 20 24 29 93
    HOU 32 23 29 23 107

    while NBA gives:
    1 2 3 4 T
    ATL 20 20 24 29 93
    HOU 32 33 19 23 107

    How comes?

That's not what he said at all. His words were "Tracy McGrady had a great game on Tuesday, but even if he went 0-for-5, it doesn't mean a thing. He's earned the right to be on this team and he has shown that he can play at a very high level. I'm still a young player and I haven't earned any kind of respect like that." You obviously missed the point of his post. He was talking about motivation and how he shouldn't let himself down with his perfomance. He wants to earn respect through hard work because he really wants to make this team.

Billy is really having a bad time adjusting to the NBA game style. It's costly to have him learn that in the regular season.
