with ariza out (i figure budinger will get the start), i'm gonna go ahead and say that jermaine taylor might see some valuable playing time, especially w/ this being the first night of a back to back. either him or brian cook

I actually think we play very well this game w/o Ariza. I'm calling JT with atleast 10 points in a breakout game.

in a word, whether we have ariza in this game or not, we must be enough aggressive in both offense and defense, we can't let piston got a high shooting-percentage game. besides hamilton, stuckey, i think that we need to protect rebound well, jason maxel is a tough guy, and a good blocker as well, we can't underestimate him too far, furthermore, Charlie Villanuva played well during the last couple of games, and he has a long-range shooting skills.we should take good care of this x factors. oh, will bynum(as fast as aron i think) is also a crazy man, but as long as containing his quick penetrating, he will be less destructive to our teams more or less. anyway, despite we have a home advantage, piston is not a easy opponent, they have got 5 or 6 wins in a row, owing a good momentum, maybe we will have tough process in this game, go, go ,go, pull the piston, rox man

Lots of interesting individual matchups in this game.

Battier vs. Hamilton shooting guard battle should be fun, while two rookie SFs (Budinger vs. Jerebko) and two offensively challenged centers (Hayes vs. Ben Wallace) go at it. Landry's defensive matchup against Villanueva in the second unit should be a good one too.

Stuckey has always been a handful for Brooks, so Lowry will probably get some defensive duties against him. Containing Stuckey will be key IMO.

On the other hand, I think Houston's biggest advantage is Scola. He needs to have a big game.

Tough stretch of games coming up.

Hope the team can remain competitive.....I'm dreading the Dallas game.

Tonight is one of our last "easy" games for almost a month.
