The answer to this has only come to light in the last few days and it is the major problem that the players are having with Coach A and his coaching system.
Last year everyone knew their role and the whole team knew the game plan and were made aware of the +&- of the other team.
This year Coach A doesn't have a game plan and each player doesn't know their role,no player knows who is the leader or who is the floor general.
Coach A believes that it will all become evident as time goes by and that the players will themselves discove all!!!!!!! So there is no plan to have Head set up and there is no plan or play in which Head is passed the ball, unlike last year where the opposite was true!
Also this is true why so many players are frustrated and are even complaining in the press. I have my doubts that this freestyle game will gain hold with our present team:p :p

Great win for Defense tonight. I dont buy what the Pistons said about them just having a poor shooting night, and thats why they lost. They shot a season low precentage in the first half, like 30 some odd precent, and thats due to the Rox displaying heart and emotion on the defensive end. The offense was nothing really to rant and rave about(all though the dunks by Mac & Yao were almost TV trey droppers)

Just one thing i have to get off my chest that really kind of po'd me, even though Tracy was trying to make light of the free throw disability tonight. When asked in the locker room how they still one the game with all the missed free-b's he replyed "Man it's all mental, it's just you and the basket out there, and when you miss the fans all go AWWWW...thats like the worse thing you can to do to a player, especially at home."(heard this on wexlers fan feed back). I mean Wex is right, what kind of response do you want from your home crowd when you stink up the joint with middle school type free throw precentages? Do you want the crowd to cheer "Come on tracy(or who ever is at the line) You can do it!

Any ways, i'll gladly take W's any we get em!

    Steve Nash is unreal.

He wasn't even blessed with great athleticism yet he tears up the league year after year.

This is his stat line through 3 quarters:

    22 pts (9-11 FG, 3-4 3PT, 1-1 FT) 6 reb 9 ast

    Deron Williams is great, too.

These kind of players really make you disappointed with Rafer and the rest of our PGs.

I have to admit...I was livid. Those freethrows almost cost us the game. What does he expect. Tmac is too sensitive for me...he needs to buck up!!! There is no way I could cheer and be happy after all those misses.

Got my mini Olajuwon Jersey...pretty cool. The game was great. Missed FTs almost did us in but we managed to pull it out. Tmac dunk was sick and Yaos dunk was even sicker...Put McDyess on his ass which was great. Toyota center didn't get full til about the start of the 2nd quarter. Surprise surprise 'Sheed lost his temper and then started balling. A man tear came to my eye when they showed the Olajuwon clips...I love that guy. All in all a nice win and I'll be out at TC next wednesday for GNO. Peace.

I'd give my left Testicle to have Williams on our team.

Honestly, I don't care who the best on our team is because none of them are the type of player we need along side Tracy and Yao.

THE ROCKETS' NUMBER 1 OBJECTIVE SHOULD BE TO FIND A COMPLETE PG!

That is what this team is missing more than anything hands down.

If we can find a real floor general in the class of Nash, Paul, Williams, Davis, Kidd, Billups, Roy, and Miller, we instantly become legitimate contenders.

Until then, we will be praying for us to overachieve every season.

I know this is nothing new but this reality just stares you right in the eyes when you watch Nash and Williams going at it.

I'll donate my right one so the recipient will have a pair.

Man, the Rockets need a great PG more than anything. All the other pieces will fall in place if and when that happens.

I really hope management can find this missing link.

I am all for it. He is attainable to as we all know by now.

The 76ers will part with him given their direction and he is much more affordable then some of the other top-tier PGs.

    Let's make it happen.

Rafer, Luther and Snyder for Andre Miller.

    It works financially: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/featur...=557~11~2763~2445&teams=10~20~20~20&te=&cash=

... and it gives Philly a couple of young players along with a replacement PG.

We should give up our 1st Rd pick as well if it makes the deal work.

    Management should make a move.

I totally agree. Head>>> James because he's a better undersized SG that makes higher % FG and 3 pt FG, is less selfish, better cutter, and is a more willing passer. Let francis handle the PG position as the 2nd unit.

I agree but we should at least try to trade for one that is attainable and affordable if we are serious about being contenders, especially when one is available like Andre Miller.

I just can't see us as legitimate contenders without a good PG.

A potential lottery team better be careful about giving up future picks. Especially in a year where other teams have destiny written all over them.

Why would he miss it? I thought the clock starts when someone touches the ball on the rb, not when it leaves the ft shooter's hands? Or are you implying a made ft gives the other team a set play on the inbound. Or am I wrong about when the clock starts?

I'm looking at this year AND beyond.

Giving up a 1st round pick that will likely fall between 10th and 20th is not much to throw in considering we are a team that is close to contention.

If Philly ends up taking offers for Miller, we should definitely see if we can work a deal that will satisfy both parties.

I have 2 questions after watching tonights game on ESPN.

    1. Why is Luther Head the only guard over the last 1.25+ years who is capable of making an entry pass to Yao and cutting hard to the basket. I can't imagine this is that hard. Surely Tracy could get some easy buckets this way. Or Bonzi...or (shudder) even Rafer. It is a complete mystery.

    2. Adelman apparently has a bunch more of his offense to install, but is hesitant to do so with this bunch...um, why? Our offense ain't looking great, what are you waiting for? What's more, why wasn't all this practiced, you know, in the preseason, and in practices?

that is all. can someone please answer those questions coherently? thanks.
