OMG...when we finally hit a free throw the crowd reacted as if we had won a championship....that was a really sickening moment.

Man, I'm one of Francis' biggest supporter and I'll even say that by looking at the past two games, that he is not in game shape. He may look in shape but his legs are not there. The past two games he looked really slow, except for the 1st half the Toronto game. But I still don't understand why he gets no minutes. Before the two loses, he played good and we were winning. But I guess Francis has to play near perfect or it's back to the bench?

Someone please post some postgame video.

I was no happy with this victory. The Pistons played like crap on the 2nd half of a back to back. In fact, the Pistons aren't even that great a team. I'd definitely put Orlando and Boston as the only 2 legitimate Eastern Conference teams. And I don't understand Flip Saunders coaching. If this guy was the Rockets coach, I'd be calling for his head after every game, win or lose. He's vastly overrated in my opinion. He has good defensive players, but that does not necessarily make him a good defensive coach. Too many times I've seen him over the years with very poor defensive strategies that have cost his team in crucial moments. The Pistons have no chance as long as he's their coach. They could certainly use LB back, or even JVG.

I don't think this is a game to build on. We played poor defense and our offense was very poor again down the stretch. However, there certainly was improvement, particularly on the defensive end. Nevertheless, the Pistons were clearly tired, people were missing free throws all over the place, so the percentages work in our favor.

It's about time Adelman's started shrinking the rotation. It's very important he decide on 9 guys who will give him quality minutes. He played 8 tonight, which was a good start, but I don't want to see Yao and Tracy combine to play over 85 minutes every night. JVG didn't even wear them out that much in the playoffs. It looks like the starters plus Scola, Head, and Wells are in. In the long haul, it would be better off limiting our starters minutes under 40 minutes and improving Scola's game though.

Coming up is Dallas. They'll be on a back to back. They've been sucking a lot lately, but they're bound to turn it around. It'll be a test, that's for sure.

We make our FTs and layups and it is a 30+ point game with Yao and TMac resting to start the fourth!

Just got back from the game. There was this annoying Detroit Piston fan in front of me that made me very happy the Rockets sent him home quiet. The defense came back. Thank you! The effort and will that was missing the last two games was also back. Yao and McGrady refused to lose. Bonzi was great. Got a great ovation from the crowd when he went at Rasheed. But whatever he had with his free-throw shooting spread to the rest of the team and to a few of the detroit pistons. Yao was struggling during the pre-game warmups and at the half time break with his free-throws. Kind of a foreshadow of the game.

I know our main two guys made some mistakes like when Yao and McGrady passed out to the perimeter a couple of times when they were right there at the basket but I thought they meant well trying to get their teammates involved and with more chemistry those passes will be to slashers. This game wouldn't have been close if we had made our free throws.

Now the key is not to get too high off of wins and come out with this same hunger again against Dallas on Saturday.

I will say this: The Rockets played with HEART and emotion. We haven't seen that in a while.

Elaborating upon that accurate point, the general difference in work ethic between American-born players and foreign players is also the reason why Team USA has struggled in recent years despite their clearly superior talent.

toyota center, for once in my life, was alive and rocking. too bad it took 12 missed free throws to get anybody's attention.
