Did you guys see how well Tmac shoots when he is comes off a screen and gets himself open as opposed to forcing crap? The difference is night and day.

Ugliest win ever, but Pistons didn't deserve it anyway..... I can't believe they actually called that ball out on Rafer. Rafer's hand wasn't even close to Chauncey's elbow yet that a-hole ref still tries to screw us.

Rafer doesn't bring the ball much quicker to the front court than Francis did the last time he played.

I agree. With the replay system, My Kings would have been champions, and the Rockets would have gotten past the first round that year. Refs like Tim Donaghy would have been weeded out a long time ago.

We shot 47% on field goals, outrebounded the Pistons and kept our turnovers relatively low against a great defensive team.

If we didn't have one of the worst free throw shooting performances in league history, it wouldn't have been a close game. I don't usually buy the "missed free throw" excuse but it applied tonight even though we won.

Yes, the Pistons were playing the second half of a back-to-back on the road but this was a fine win.

I think Rick should think and find a way to use Yao properly.
Rick has never used a 7'6 offensive machine before, and Yao is obviously confused by Ricks offensive system, we still need some adjustment.

No excuses you either bring or you don't.We can make excuses as well with our terrible fre throw shooting and giving up the lead.

You have to give credits to our defense. It could have been a easy win for us if we shoot 70% FTs

Instant replay wouldn't certainly resolve some of the questions surrounding the officiating.

The biggest key of the game tonight was our defense. Yes, Skip played good and helped out, but there was nothing different about the offense. T-Mac was hitting his shots, and Yao was getting his points. It all depends on those two and if they bring their games. If they do, they everyone else will show up. Combine that with the same type of defense as tonight, and we won't lose too many games.

All I have to say is: it was stupid to assume the Rockets would be world-beaters right out of the gate. Good win, but we should all prepare for a fair share of 'Philly Nights'. I'm not going to get too pumped about the team until after All-Star break.

I think that when the team tries to coast against lesser teams, they rely on the system, like they did last year. Problem is, our system is like my internet connection...absolutely unreliable!

I am happy with T-Mac better shot selections in this game... But again too much settling on jumpers during the crunch time. This wasn't the way to get things done.

At the end of the game, we were playing exactly JVG basketball. The same players with the same game plans. So TMac forced several threes, and Yao turned the ball over at clutch time. I didn't see any improvement from last year.

A win is a win, especially given that Refs were blind so many times. But we still have a long way to go, otherwise I just can't see us go beyond the first round.
