the team's problems stem from one guy: the coach.

What makes it even worse is that van gundy is supposedly known for his defense...and we gave up 93 points. This team just doesn't look like its into the games anymore. I saw some many 2nd chance points, guys not blocking out, and just plain no hustle from anybody tonight. I seriously think that van gundy has lost the team from a authoritative standpoint.

And to add insult to injury is our offense. Its terrible. I can tell you our offensive sets before they even happen...do you know why? we only have one or two sets to begin with! Its so frustrating seeing no continuity and flow in our offense. In essence, we had the same problems when rudy was here but at least we had the players to make it successful (hakeem= inside/out), and success cures all complaints.

If we do indeed bring in a new coach, please let it be a offensive-minded coach. I'm not asking for a dallas offense but someone with at least some creative ideas on the offensive side of the ball.

When it comes down to it, the product on the floor is terrible and it shows by the record of the team and attendence of the crowd. Lets face it, tyronne lue, juwon howard, and reece gaines are all trash. I can't believe i actually had high hopes out of either one of these 3. I squarely put the blame for taking these idiots and signing idiots like mo taylor to a stupid contract on CD and the rockets management. CD and JVG need to go. period.

    hoang,

How would we ever know about Reece? JVG never develops a player...not a single one.

Reece may turn out ok but not if he can't ever get on the floor.

    DaDa,

Yea i was hoping that Reece would turn out to be a steal but lets all come to a realization here...he's not gonna be any good anytime soon. He might be good with the right coaching but the way JVG coaches, hell, even boki can't get but 3 minutes in a blowout

But concerning Gaines, the one thing that sticks to me with him is the one game against Orlando in the preseason. Not only did he get stripped by Jameer Nelson walking the ball up court once, but TWICE! Even the 2nd time, he just watched Nelson lay the ball up. I hope he pans out but I'm not holding my breath for him.

Many people don't realize this but the Rox have been playing losing basketball for longer than you think....

Since last year when the Rox were 39-26...

They went 6-11 to end the regular season
They went 1-4 vs the lakers in the playoffs
They're 6-10 this season for a grand total of...

    13 Wins and 25 LOSSES

The only thing that is saving them right now is a cream-puff schedule in December.

Although, I was against Gumby as the Rockets coach from the beginning and have always posted as much, I have been willing to support him and let him succeed or fail based on the results. It's still early and things may yet turn around, but things are looking alarmingly bad. It appears Gumby has lost the team, and that's not something easily rectified.

There is absolutely no reason for Yao and TMac to be regressing at this early stage of their careers, but they are; and I'm CERTAIN the blame lays at Gumbys door-step. Surely CD and the owner will give him at least till the all-star break, but I wish they would not. Thing are just NOT gonna work out with JVG at the helm.

I guess the question is who would be a good and available replacement. Well, the perfect coach for this team right now is currently coaching the Lakers and off the top of my head the pickings look rather slim. I would actually be ready to give Del Harris another shot. For some reason I can't remember his name right now, but last years Golden State coach might be a nice choice. I would even consider Mario Ellie

The Warriors fired Musselman for treating Dunleavy badly. If Yao is unhappy with Van Gundy's criticism, he's going to have a breakdown under Musselman.

1 Why don't let C-spoon stand beside yao?
2 Yao is guided in the wrong direction. He should lose weight to make him faster.

This team is painful to watch. I watched about 5 minutes of last nights game and became disgusted with it, so I went back to playing Ghost Recon online as I knew they would lose big. I didnt need to watch it.

This team looks asleep out there. No energy, no drive, no chemistry. I hope they get better quickly as they are digging themselves a nice hole early.

Maybe were in store for an Astro-esque turnaround? (please)

Cmon Rockets! At least TRY to win! We could respect you more after a loss if you at least put forth the effort to win.

Im starting to think the problem may be coaching.

I am not pissed anymore. I now truly believe lacking of intensity and confidence is the problem. How in the world we only had 65 shots and pistons had 81. This team is too soft.

Did you catch the preseason? Or any Magic games last year. The team starts out 0-19 and the guy still didn't get the playing time. Sure its possible he develops into a great 12th man off the bench. Nothing more
