Good point. Yao needs PF's help to be a decent rebounder.
Today his off rebs look ok (5), but where are the def rebs?

This team also needs atheletism and shooting badly.

The offseason bandwagon: "Why is the T-mac trade taking so long! It's falling apart! the sky is falling! We will never win it all with Steve!!"

The right now bandwagon: "Steve Francis is everything we need that is wrong with us - he is Jesus! - he is GOD!! I knew it the whole time!! Why did they trade him! OUR SOUL!!!!"

When the Rockets get their chemistry, start playing better and the wins start coming in the bandwagon will sound like this...." I always had faith in our guys and never gave up! Heart of a champion!!

Let's all try to look at the bright side: At least nobody's blaming anything on Rudy anymore.

    From yahoo.sports,

    "
In the waning seconds, a group of fans sitting behind the Houston bench began chanting ``Fire Gundy!'' Rockets coach Jeff Van Gundy looked at the vocal bunch, nodded at them and continued frowning at his team's miserable performance.
    "

    Anyone from this board?

I would if I were TMac. Yao probably has told TMac in private that he is after this season if JVG stays. Yao is not one to rock the boat. TMac needs to b**** loudly.

Why is JVG still our coach? What are the Rockets waiting for? For JVG to suddenly change his entire offensive system? It's not going to happen.

I'm sure you didn't watch the game tonight. Ya was pretty aggresive on the glass, but there was just no way for Yao to grab many DEFENSIVE rebounds tonight since the Pistons had their small centers 15ft away with the ball, and Yao had to come out to defend since they were making them. This is a perfect game to play zone.

Though I didn't expect the Rockets to pull this one out (matchup problems), this was a disheartening loss. I would have thought, after the last two horrible games and the bashing they have taken since, they would have come out with alot of fire. Something has to be going on behind the scenes. There are too many players on the roster with something out to prove to play with no fire.

I don't know about anyone else, but I feel so much better when Sura is running the point. It's not that I think he is THE answer for this team, but he does such a good job of getting the ball up and getting it to a player in a good position to score.

And, what is up with Howard? Padgett is playing ok, but it is just so odd that he doesn't see ANY time at all. Taylor has been in a funk, and in constant fould trouble, so you would have thought JVG would have tried Howard out to see how effective he is. It's almost as if the organization is force-feeding Mo down our throats.

JVG says that something needs to change, well then change it. Whether it be pulling the trigger on a possible deal on the table, altering the rotation more or changing coaches, something must be done to try to right this sinking ship. Believe it or not, though they may not gel together to a great extent; this team has too much talent to be playing this poorly after the first month.

Yes, you are right. The leading rebounder should not be running out to the perimeter to double the guard on the pick and roll. JVG is stuck on a losing strategy.

Juwan Howard is going to come to the next practice with a "I Hate JVG" T-shirt. As much as Juwan has pride in his game and his stats, these DNP-CDs must be killing him.

I agree. JVG is basically Jimi Williams.
