Starting to get that excited feeling for each game. The defense is on its way back to being a swarming group, and it’s creating some easier offensive possessions.

CC is also starting to play like the man who deserved to be paid. We are starting to play like the team that a lot of teams feared.

It’s funny to see the headlines of “Why the west should fear the Lakers finally clicking.” No, teams need to worry about this Rockets team clicking.

 

Bill interviewed the Tillman pregame just now:

BW: I'm glad you turned it around. I was getting a little nervous there early in the season.

If you think you were getting a little nervous, I was really nervous. Everyone has to remember how this all started out. Chris getting suspended, James missing three games & a few other little distractions but they look like their same old selves now.

BW: I gotta hand it to you. You were decisive in the way you handled the Carmelo Anthony situation. I think that was good for the team & Carmelo.

Everything is a team effort here. We all talk about a lot of things. You gotta know when to make decisions and when not to make decisions. We're gonna always try to make good ones around here. I think Carmelo has a lot left in him. He's a great player, he'll be a Hall of Famer, I wish him only the best.

BW: He was a good guy when he was here too.

100%. He was a true gentleman.

BW: Let's talk about coming up, the next couple weeks. They're playing a lot better.

It's amazing. We're only two games behind in the loss column. That's all you always really have to look at until everyone plays the same amount of games. If you look at who we're playing the next couple of weeks, we should make a move. I'll be really disappointed if we don't and I know these guys will be disappointed. I think when it's all said & done, we'll be in good shape at the end of the year. (I think the Tillman just said the Rockets don't play any real contenders in the next couple of weeks. @DudeWah @Os Trigonum @DreamShook )

BW: I took a tour of the Fertitta Center. You gotta be proud of that place.

I am. It's great to contribute back to your city and your institution. We'll play a lot of great basketball with the Cougars too.

BW: This guy is gonna be honored on November 29th. He's getting into the Hall of Honor. Now I don't remember you playing sports at UH.

I don't either. I'm in a few Hall of Fames but surely not one for playing basketball. It's something I really don't need or really don't deserve. It's something they wanted to do. It'll be a great night for all the future athletes & future fans of the University of Houston.
