Wow, Howard has recorded one blocked shot. Could break last season's total record when he blocked 5.

A pinched nerver can destroy you're movement. for exampel, if it hits you're say left leg, it will become so hard to even standup. let alone run and jump. i look at tracy, and i see a very brave individual.

I've never thought that highly of him, but figured he was good enough to be our roleplayer. But man, when I watched him at the fonde last summer he was HORRIBLE, he looked like an old man out there and got blocked by scrubs a few times, and he wouldn't stop shooting either. I remember this one possession where he got stuck and threw his head into the defender and faded away, only to get blocked by some no-name. On that note, you could tell that Mike James was ready to ball this year, he was amazing (albeit a ball hog).

    Of course. It's a contract year. :p

That being said, I'll give Mike James his due... he's doing well, albeit on a crappy team.

Man, JVG needs to get Swift involved in the offense and actually call plays for him, that guy is hustling his arse off on defense/offfense and everything else.

Swift has been doing his part, shutting down Wallace (he's playing great D on him, I only wish JVG would leave him on the court and not put Howard back in).

I think Swift is really coming around now, while I don't think Rafer has played at all tonight.

As weird as it might sound, I think the starting line up today with DW at point will get this team off to better starts, because at least the team seems to be smoother with guys from last year playing, despite all their faults.

Oh yah, JB should get more minutes, we are desperate for his shooting.

T-Mac needs a good month off it looks like from the way he's walking/moving out there, it's crap that this is the 2nd season he has here and both have been injury-plagued (although to his credit he's been a warrior and has played through them, and effectively for the most part). The man is the oldest 26 year-old I have ever seen, and that spells massive trouble for the Rockets this season and beyond if these injuries are recurring. :(

Concerning Derek Anderson... as I understand it, he was rusting on the Jailblazers' bench all last season. (Correct me if I have that wrong.) I feel reasonably confident he'll improve as he gets used to actually playing again.

I really don't understand the calls on Yao.

First off, that offensive foul. Yao's arm didn't even get to swing out, Wallace flew into his arm. How can that be an offensive foul? Do you expect one's arm to be glue to his body when he jump up for a layup?

Secondly, the 2 traveling calls on Yao. They don't seem to be anywhere close to travelling IMO. Almost everytime a guard comes out of a pick and catch the pass, he took more steps than Yao did around the paint. Yet guards never get called for travelling, and yao got called for that TWICE in a quarter!
That ref has some issue with Yao. He gave the out of bound ball to Pistons when it was so clear that Wallace knock the ball out. he said Yao did  WTF is wrong with that ref. Did he wage a bet on this game?

The same story will happen again, I guess.
Tmac was so cold on shooting. And then they will double yao and Tmac will be hot. But I hope the end will be different this time. We win, please!

He probably got a bad bottle of Geritol. I understand that stuff has hallucinogenic properties when past its shelf life.

If he wasn't good enough to crack the Blazers' lottery team... why should he be good enough to be our primary 2 guard, or 6th man?

I see Yao is learning from Mutombo. He argues every single fould against him. I think Yao and Mutombo might end up as the only players in NBA history to have never commited a foul or traveled lol

I don't think they will, because it might hurt Bennie's ego, but that wouldn't be anything new since Yao seems to destroy him everytime one-on-one.

Soo much for a defensive player of the year...

Yao is playing great and assertive, here's to hoping that for one he can maintain his aggressiveness all around for an entire game, and not just a half.

My understanding is that the Blazers' staff has a tendency to play all their kids, mainly tanking the season to keep getting lottery picks. Whether that accusation has basis in reality, I'm not entirely sure... although their record over the past few seasons would seem to reinforce that impression... :p

It's not that he wasn't good enough to crack their line up. The Blazers are committed to developing their young talent and DA wasn't going to get any playing time regardless of how he played.

Man, it's sad when McGrady has to say "I don't want to hurt my team" :(

When he recovers from this "pre-injury status", will he have more quickness, a higher vertical, more defensive awareness, and a less passive attitude?

For some reason, I don't think healing from his "injury" is going to help him out that much. He's well past his prime... and his only role here looks to be to be able to hit a wide open jump shot (which he's not doing right now).

To be fair to anderson, he had alot of injuries. it hinderd his play upto a point that the blazers renderd him useless. they have really taken it's toll on his body. he dosent have the speed or the hops he used to. telfair and miles were so superiore and more talented then he was.
