The entire starting lineup is veterans from last season. No new Rockets at all... particularly not Anderson nor Alston.

The play tonight looks a lot tighter and more competent.

    I don't think this is a coincidence. :D

The new guys will get with the program eventually... but in the meantime, I think JVG figured out that the best chance for a win is to have the guys together who are most comfortable with each other.

Seeing Yao bulling through and/or around Ben Wallace is making me cry, I swear. :D

yeah this is a frist time in a long time that i can recall we arent down by like 8 points in the first quarter. i think its the chemistry from the old teammates playing with each other if this works out i guess our "new guys" will have to come off the bench hopefully.

man i wish sura was healthy

Its Dick Bavetta's crew... and he's one of the best, and most AWARE of officials out there.

He knows its no good for anybody (esp. the league) if the refs decide to officiate Yao like he's a 6'6 SF.

i hate to agree with bill walton.....EVER. but he is right about our entry passes to yao ming. how in the hell can they not hit a 7'6 man with a nice crisp pass where he doesn't have to move his position on the block??? it's ridiculous. our guard play is horendous.

yao has to catch some of the really tough passes for a big guy as Walton put it " it does no service to the big guy..."

you got to love the words/expressions used by Walton ;)

Piston is really a good team. But give credit to our players, they are doing great so far. Especially Barry, he brings energy and hustleplay to the game. I love him! If he is 5 years younger, our team would be scary. :)
