god this is ridiculous :( can't we all just get along? I think Texas Stroke has a point. some of the yao fans need to also ease up and be less defensive on every little thing everyone says about him. both sides have rights to an opinion, let's just base our arguments or opinions on facts.

If we really want to blame somebody for the last loss, JVG is the first one. It was him that let injured TMac throw thousands of bricks. The second to blame is TMac who was no better than Ben Wallace throwing an air FT. Yes, Yao screwed up several plays, but TMac screwed up much more. Don't tell me TMac is injured. As long as he playes, he has to perform, no excuse. If the injury really affects his play, he should trust his teamates and stop throwing f*** bricks.

If anyone has earned the right to put up bricks, it is TMac.

He shows a lot of courage playing hurt. He is obviously in a lot of pain but he tried to help out the team despite of personal discomfort.

Trust his teammates? Have you seen the way they've been playing lately?

It's a team loss, Yao sucked big time, TMac too. Oh, and JVG.

When you had NINE(9) TOs in a closely contest game, you caused your team a W! No excuse needed. How could a 7'6" guy let a 6'7" guy block from the behind CLEANLY, when you were right under the basket? Truely Pathetic!

Yes, Tmac was playing hurt, but if you couldn't help your team, then you should not be out there to hurt them, which was exactly what he did. He through out brick after brick, let Prince go by him like the wind. Hello, this is a pro game, you need to think as a pro, don't do anything stupid to hurt your team, and yourself at the end.

You, yes JVG. Now after two seasons of player shuffling, you cannot play the player card any more. You had all your hand-picked former Knicks as your assistants, all the players you traded for, except Yao. If this team cannot play together, who else to blame but you and Dawson?

I know it's ugly now, but NBA season is a 82 marathon, not a 200 meter sprinter. So let's be cool, give the coaches and the players more time to prove to us. If we still play this ugly coming January, or February, then we can discuss the failure of the experiment.

I am not a fair weather fan.

Yet I do not believe it is a matter of waiting for us to "gel."

We are OLD. The backcourt and bench is ancient. Even if we "gel" this team needs a major reshuffling in the offseason. Sura, Wesley, Barry, Mutumbo, Derek Anderson, Juwan Howard, Moochie Norris are all on the wrong side of 30.

This team is built to win now... and it is not doing so.

I hope I am wrong, but last year's gelling cannot be cited as evidence of a pattern. We need youth. We need a core that can grow together. Throwing a bunch of ancient vets around 2 stars does not work in this era of the NBA.

Jordan's teams always had three stars (Jordan, Pip, and either a young Horace Grant or a spry Rodman). We do not have enough talent, plain and simple.

I would rather see us recruit young players and build for the near future (2-3 years) that fooling ourselves into believing that these Rox are contenders.

Shrug, it's just a guy on the opposite end of the spectrum aka YOH.

YOFs are annoying as hell and there are times I wish I could punch them in the face, but YOHs show no pride for their second best player.

Yao did contribute to the loss (9 TOs is completely unacceptable) in this game but so did DA and TMAC.

Oh and btw, I don't believe there was a turning point in this game. For the entire game the majority of players played pretty damn horribly so I say it's fair to find fault in all of them.

DW by far had the best game.

Agree. I went to the Rockets games in Los Angeles last year and annoyed the hell out of the lakers fans, but caught some attention of two girls. Wish I were living in Houston so that I can go to the game more ofter.

But throwing out lots of curses like Texas Stoke is doing no good to the team. The bigger problem we have is our shooting guard with no touch and point guard that has been playing very unconfident.

Texas Stoke, when you grow up, you will understand this better and be able to reason. Right now, you are not.

I talk about a lot of things. I have more posts than what you do. I talk about anything Rockets related. Recently I have talked about not throwing any of our Rockets under the bus after a handful of games. I have NEVER said that this is T-Mac's team only or that he's the "only man", whatever that means (Adam and Eve? I don't know). If you can't make a counterargument, please do not resort to false statements.

I have said that when he's healthy he's unstoppable (Duh). I don't think I went out on a limb on that one.

I don't believe in hating anything. I don't hate anybody man. I'm being as level
with you as I can when I say that. See this is how it starts. I criticize a play, I was frustrated, but it doesn't mean I hate the guy. But before I responded I was called a YOH and a couple of other things. I was called a YOH first then I responded with the YOF. But you guys have yet to bring that up. I want Yao to be successful more than the next guy. He's a Houston Rocket, I'll stick up for him through it all but when I'm tough on him it's because I know the guy can be so much better than what we're getting from him right now. It's the little things like rebounding when it matters most, not turning the ball over when it matters most, coming up clutch when it matters most. He's our #1 pick, I expect more out of him right now. I don't hate the guy. And I don't hate any of you. It's a long season, just wanted to make that clear.

Other than I saw Stoke was for KG for Yao deal in the dish thread, Stoke is pretty clean on Yao hating. ;)

Speaking of KG, he took some shots at McHale, I think the frustration is getting to him...

True, but i just dont see him wanting out this season. if they dont make any Sunstantial headway this season, then i think he'll be open to options. he just dosent seem like a kind of guy who would quit in the middel of the season.

Yao isn't the problem....he's actually looking like he's going to have his best year thus far - finally.

    T-Mac isn't the problem.

So what is? Might be chemistry....could be Sura? We did get a lot better when Sura got back from an injury last year. I think Alston is having trouble adjusting, as is Derek Anderson. As is Swift.

Anyway, too early to talk about the season - it's young, and losing back-to-back to the two top teams in the world by less then 10 points in either game...well, you really can't complain.

Also, anyone who talks about trading Yao to LA so he can unite with Kobe is definitely a YOF and not a Rockets fan. While it's ok to be a YOF - don't insult the Rockets.

If yao wanted to join forces with kobe, he would'nt have commited himself to houston for the long haul.
