Decent game considering. Yao played well and pretty tough. He showed a lot of passion. Swift had a really solid game. Wesley looks like he continue to be our starter at PG.

    DA 0-7

Trying to be as objective as possible...

    Postives:
I Liked the increase in intensity today - our guys were trying hard/being more assertive and generally playing better.
David Wesley minus that last blocked layup finally started hitting some shots, and played a much better game. Maybe JVG's insults lit a fire in him.
Luther and Stromile continue to show me better play with each game, I thought Stro played well against Rasheed, but Rasheed was just hitting some great shots down the stretch.
Yao played aggresive and played well, Ben played him well but you can't fault Yao, he was very assertive and it showed.

    Negatives -
My new whipping boy has got to be DEREK ANDERSON. While I truly hope that sometime down the season he changes his tune and makes me eat crow, I just don't see it. Aside from one nice steal, and about one decent defensive stand, Anderson sucks. Derek Anderson might be the new Jim Jackson of this year. While at times he does just enough to make you think that he's doing okay, he causes more problems than just his shooting. I don't even think it is chemistry, DA is slow, and has a very slow release. Maybe it is his injury LAST year, but I have never really seen DA put in total effort even back in the day.
DA plays kind of like Tmac at about 2/3 Tmac's speed, and now that he's slower he can't afford to do that ala Jim Jackson. Like Jim Jackson, DA has been a kind of Journeyman - albeit far less, and I know we are getting him for cheap, but at our current state we really can't afford his mistakes, missed shots, passed up open shots that could be knocked down by head, and overall chemistry death that he is causing. Just about the only thing he brings to this team is height at the 2-guard, but that comes without the shooting of Head and Wesley. In addition he brings a loss of defense against quicker twos as well as a loss of overall chemistry due to his generally lackadaisacal style of play. We really can only afford Tmac to be the one conserving his energy on the floor, and I don't see DA changing, therefore, we are probably better off without him ala Jim Jackson.

I have no problem actually Yao fouled out every game. That might be the only way to change the way he's been refereed.

Wesley has been "horrible" thus far, but, tonight, he looked much better. Even his shot seemed to be coming back. I think it is more a matter of "contrast," but we are in trouble if he is the Rocket's future at PG. He really gave it all he had, though.

Can Derek Anderson be cut from the team, if so, just do it. Awful is not the word, I don't know if there is a word to describe his play since joining the team. He is looking like one of the worse acquistions ever. And the Rockets pursued this guy for two seasons? WHY?

Head gets too few minutes, he really shows flashes of brilliance.

Swift got abused by Rasheed in the final minutes also shows flashes of brilliance.

I liked Ming's agressiveness tonight, showed some passion, didn't play smart, and nine turnovers are, well, too many.

TMac is hurting, I feel for him.

The Rocket's defense keeps them in games. Their offense is wretched, unwatchable. I actually think they scared both the Spurs and the Pistons for a minute or two. That is worth something, when we have so little to be excited about.

JVG, what are you going to do? Is Carol Dawson still in town?

Now Im starting to get worried . At first , I was thinking it may just take sometime for the guys to get used to playing together . The more and more I watch this team , I just get the feeling that we will finally get it together , but it may be too late . I still love this team and I will continue to go to games and support them , but I just hope it gets better .

I will not. But cursing without even knowing what is going on is not acceptable and childish. And calling out Yao p***y in this game is really getting on my nerves.

Hypocritical YOF's are the cancer. Don't let your grown-up affection for Yao Ming blind you to the point where you start criticizing another player not named Yao who did not even play in the damn game.

Could you make yourself look any dumber right now....

uh, yeah, if Yao was playing against Andrew Declerq, then yeah, he probably would have gotten more calls going his way. But it's Ben Wallace. If there is such a thing as star treatment, Ben Wallace is going to get those calls (or non-calls) every night, even against Yao Ming.

Only managed to watch the last 5 minutes of the game.
On Yao's eigth turnover, Walton commented this is due the fact yao didnt use his elbow to initial contact to create space thus had his ball popped away by Ben. Then on Yao sixth foul, he turned and his elbow hit Ben and was called for an offensive foul. Why is it a foul??? I saw Shaq did this exact same move a ZILLION times without gettin called an offensive foul. Yao is 7'6 and Ben is 6'9, when a taller guy turned and shoot for sure his elbow will hit the shorter player's head and it's a FOUL! Can someone correct me if i m wrong.

The way this team plays now, is just matter of time T-mac asks for a trade and when will you guys think JVG will pull a 'Knicks' on the rockets and call it a quit????
I feel much better now watching Kobe getting his a$$ whipped by the clippers! :D

If you are a kid, i am not going to argue with you any more.

If not, i just cannot help wondering what terrible experience you've had with Yao. Did he do you from behind or what?

you need to relax and just watch the game as a game.

Ok, this YOH/YOF feud is getting utterly ridiculous. What kind of self-respecting adult would let anything anyone says on the FREAKIN' INTERNET bother him/her so much?

It's absolutely hilarious how sitting behind a computer can transform suburban dads and 13 year old kids into "tough guys." All this internet bravado is starting to make me sick. What the hell are you people trying to prove? How many of you would actually be this abrasive in person?

Maybe you guys should just cut straight to the point. All you intenet "tough guys" ought to just meet up, whip out your d*cks and start measuring. Will that get you guys to shut up and stop ruining an otherwise civilized discussion board?

It is a foul, but it's a foul Yao shall be proud of. That elbow must feel good, big Ben?

guys had fight tonight and we had better game than last night.

YAO played his heart, but made same mistake as TMAC. and need take care the ball better
R.Wallace hurt us in final minute, but I think B.Wallace's rebound on Barry and YAO was the turning point.

I can see that we need a good shooting guard, DA is horrible lazy player. Asimple pass to YAO, and he barely made it.

bright side is: we were doing good in the first half.

Texas Stoke...I'm just curious. Do you hate Yao or just the YOFs or both? I ask, b/c it seems like you're very sensitive when any post is made in defense of Yao. Seriously, get over it, its not gonna change their opinion of Yao and you've been fighting with them since the exsistence of the word "YOF".

Now that I got that out of the way...a better question to ask you is, who do you think is to blame for our loss today?

I blame that crap on Texas Stoke. Everytime there's a post in defense of Yao he always have a word to say to them, calling them YOF or whatever. Dude, who the F*** cares what fan they are, its their opinions and they could say whatever they want. If you don't like what they have to say about their favorite player then don't respond or read their post....please learn how to use the block feature.
