He's definitely not shooting well, but to say he's had some pretty bad turnover games this season is stretching. What games are you talking about where he turned over a ton?

There are times in the hame where you want to play help D. Depends on the players involved. But at the end of games, playing tight man is what Lin should do in my opinion. A made 3 in close games near the end of regulation, especially an uncontested 3 is prob the worst thing. Let Lin show that he can play good lock down D (which I personally believe he is capable of). Shutting down opposing team playing tight man will get the Rockets all fired up, and the other tream all bent out of shape.

I don't think you get it though. In end of regulation situations I think the coaching staff wants him to. Like I said he has done this twice now & the staff has yet to correct him about it. In fact in the Memphis game when he did it Lin actually looked over to the coaching staff & McHale wasn't upset. If the coaching staff had a problem with it they would have told him to never do it again after the first game. They didn't so that leads me to believe that this is there philosophy ("protect the paint") live with a wide open 3 as long as some other guy isn't scoring in the paint.

Lin didn't camp at the corner during Linsanity like he does now. Apparently, you have no idea what you are talking about.

I didn't watch the game, so can somebody tell me how G.Smith got 4 assists in just 12 minutes, and how did Cook get 3 assists in 5 minutes? Why didn't these guys play before? I know previous teams were much better than Detroit, but if we've been losing, rookies and new guys might as well get some experience...

wow I never saw this statement before now. I think jlin is in trouble with this coaching staff. Unbelievable. Your right there is nothing better about TD. I'm surprised so many of the people on this board are okay with it. You can't develope you young starting PG with comments like this. Just my opionon.

I wonder if it was just a coincidence that the press conference ended after that comment from Sampson. It's so short sighted. By not giving Lin a chance and being unwilling to recognise his talent and potential these coaches are hurting not just Lin's development but also the Rocket's prospects going forward.

I believe it's called garbage time. This is why you shouldn't judge games/players by the box score.

I am pretty sure Sampson knows now he put his foot in his mouth. He couldn't even sell anybody with TD. So I am sure Les/Morey have given him the 411 on who will be playing more minutes.

Finally found somebody echoing my sentiments. Well said. People are saying how its okay that Jeremy got rest, but they fail to realize that is not what Sampson gave as his reason for sitting Jeremy for long stretches and then brought him back in when the game was already decided. Sampson limiting his playing time when he was actually playing betterl speaks volumes about the coach's attitude and shockingly not conducive to his development as a player/ leader of this team. Morey better put Sampson in his place.

I hope I am too for Sampson's sake. Sports commentators and press are noticing how well the offense runs when Lin is on the floor compared to Harden. Sampson couldn't even sell anybody on TD.
