Pistons beat the Warriors, therefore Pistons are a quality team, therefore, we lose.

Does anyone have Harden's transition scoring numbers since he became a Rocket until this season? It seems like it's dropped significantly. Even when he is being guarded my the likes of Reddick who loves to camp out at the 3 pt line meaning he can easily leak out and beat him in transition one on one before the defense and big men get back.

I couldn't find exact point totals for transition on NBA.com, but they do keep track of the percentage of the points a player scores on fast breaks.

    15/16 - 17.9%
    14/15 - 21.0%
    13/14 - 27.3%
    12/13 - 23.5%

Andre Drummond is averaging 18 and 16 on the season with 1.7 steals and 1.5 blocks per game. His FT numbers...all of the Rockets PGs better foul out tomorrow or I quit.

Harden re-energized by stripper booty. 35 PTS on 42% shooting 9 assists and 5 turnovers. Will be a great game from him. He will whip out the 'I'm cooking gesture' from a contested 3 pter also. We haven't seen one of them lately.

Wow, exactly what I thought. When we first got Harden he was a consistent 30+ scorer. Anyone remember the guy who would drop 30+ a night on 14 shots? This is the reason why every year he has needed more possessions to get his points.

A quick look at some stats and I see Harden has accounted for:

    23.9% of the 1,902 assists in 2013
    25.4% out of 1755 assists in 2014
    31% out of 1820 assists in 2015
31.4% out of 916 assists in 2016 (even though we got Lawson)

    11.9% of the 2,652 d. rebounds in 2013
10.11% of the 2,797 d. rebounds in 2014 (added Dwight)
    14.6% of the 2,624 d. reboudns in 2015
    15.6% of the 1,375 d. rebounds in 2016

Him averaging more assists each season means he has the ball in his hands more. It means he is creating more each season and scoring less off ball in transition situations, off ball cuts, and shots.

After adding Dwight, Harden's defensive rebound numbers started going up in the next two seasons. This means instead of running in transition where his game excels, he has been hanging around and grabbing rebounds to bring the ball up the court.

Harden is a wide receiver and he should play like one. I want to see this happen more: Dwight rebounds - throws to Harden down the court where he should look to do the following: dunk/layup, pull up, pass. Also, a big rebounds, they quickly throw it up to the PG who finds James in transition.

It's the latest edition of "pick which random wing player will have a career high against our perimeter defense"!

It continues - ever since Corey Brewer's 51 points, and beyond.
