    I agree to an extent. You can't put the blame squarely on his shoulders considering how awful the entire team has been this year. Is he part of the problem of course. But I wouldn't call him the primary one

    Harden is known around the league as one of the best playmakers/shot creators, yet DD thinks he doesn't ever pass.

    It is timing, it is all timing, when you get the ball late, on a weak pass for a contested 3 - you are not going to shoot well, if we move the ball EARLY in the possession and take the first open shot, we will take off.

    Harden slowly walking it up and taking his own shot, without anyone else touching the ball leads to teammates not being engaged, and that is exactly what we are seeing.

    It is simply a matter of Harden, trying to do too much, he adjusts and moves the ball early, like he did a lot tonight (0 turnovers) and the team can find it's mojo.

    Lawson looked good because he got the ball and was able to drive - IMHO, just Harden trusting others to play with the ball will help this team a TON.

    Oh for CRAP sake - He has 6 assists a game and 5 turnovers...that is not a good passer, that is a RISKY passer - EFFECIENCY is what you need, not Jeremy Lin style of passing.

    Harden is a DECENT playmaker for a SG, but until he gets his turnovers down and his Ast to turnover above 2:1 he is not a great passer.

    At least that is what smart fans think, can't speak for the dumb ones.

    wtf has gentry ever achieved that made new orleans thought he would be the man ahead of jvg? when jvg went for the job interview i was so hoping he'd get it. i knew how much he's love to coach ad.

    some positive signs tonight, just like the last game. need to see more to be convinced.

    the thing i am worried about is whether we have enough time.

    Harden has not played well in a few games now. We won because he decided to stop playing iso ball.

    This is exactly right. Harden will get the ball back in great situations if the team probes for the path of least resistance.

    The difference is that Harden has the ball at the three point line where he's no longer deadly. If he was posting up, he'd be a three-way threat like Hakeem was. For now, teams play him and Harden's coming up empty quite a bit. The stats don't lie, he's inefficient right now.


    This is true. Watch some old Rockets games. The team moved even when they knew Hakeem was going to shoot. They never said, "Hakeem won't need me to be open". You cannot just watch the play and assume good will happen, gotta move. Basketball is all about movement.

    Harden seems to be down that nike didnt match addidas offer, and that he didnt win mvp

    he probably came into this season out of shape thinking to himself, the media doesnt like me, they clown me every chance they get, my own fanbase hates me, and the media is the one that votes on mvp. Harden probably believes no matter how well he plays he will never win an mvp award

    No one brought up defense. And I don't recall the same. They dumped it in, stood & watched for the most part. It was all about spacing.

    Ty Lawson is the best passer and creator on this team

    Harden can have his 6 assists a game but it also comes with 4 turnovers
    His assist to turnover ratio is very bad for a superstar and for the main ball handler

    Lucky harden had 0 TO today

    If he had his usual 4+ TO's we likely lose this game
