Thornton can handle the point for 12 minutes a game easy

Need to package Bev an TJ for a major 4 upgrade in Feb, a potential game changer

Should have drafted Jeriant Grant instead of scrubby Dekker as PG insurance

 

Am I the only one thinking Terry is playing better than Beverly?

 

Is it me, or did Capela's voice deepen by like 8 octaves since he got here?

 

I think the starters were lolly gagging out there.. just not giving a lot of effort.

The Pelicans had a lot of reserves playing who are fighting for minutes. They were playing hard. You could see them on defense putting in the effort and pressuring the ball. They were going fairly hard.

It doesn't matter how good you are... if you are half-stepping against guys who are actually going pretty hard, your team isn't going to look great against them.

In the 4th quarter, the Rockets' players seemed to turn up the intensity a good bit and started hitting shots.

 

I don´t care about how we play in meaningless preseason games, but for the life of me I don´t understand how Harden and Ariza are already playing 30+ minutes. It´s like McHale doesn´t understand that even during the season, one win/loss means nothing if you are able to keep your roster fresh and healthy during the season.

We have the talent to win in any arena when rested and healthy, we just need to get to playoffs like that, but stubborn McHale will have Harden and Ariza logging crazy minutes, plus playing entire quarters while dominating the ball in back-to-backs.

And when someone objectively criticizes him like I just did, you have to read 159 posts about how coach was one of the few who stayed with the famous lineup that gave us the crucial win against the Clippers with Harden on the bench to prove he plays rotation players, like he had another option considering those 5 guys played one of the best stretches of basketball in Rockets history.

 

He is becoming a man.

Damn this team has so much potential, so excited.

 

Harrell was shooting 5/6 and getting 13 pts.

His shooting is much better than Sam Dekker.

 

Which will be big for the grind. If McHale is able to get 10 minutes a game of decent ball out of those guys it'll be a huge help to the core rotation.

I'm really hoping it's just them going at 70% because of the preseason. Also James has PLENTY of work do to if he wants to reach his 50 40 90 goal.

 

You would be surprised how much better wing defenders become with a Anchor in the middle.

 

I was not ready lol. Don't remember him sounding like that at ALL.

 

Must have gotten some pointers from Thibby when he visited.

 

Why only 5 mins for Dekker?
