Parsons was left with no options on that last play. There was less than 5 seconds left when he received the ball, by the time he turned and faced there was around 3 seconds or less left. Indy finished it off by bum rushing him. He could only raise up and try to shoot it or possibly throw a blind pass to a teammate and hope for the best. Indy played it real smart. They gave the foul with as little time left as possible. Parsons was trying to draw the foul sooner by driving but he didn't get the call until he stopped and pivoted a couple times. Parsons did not lose this game. This game was lost because we couldn't effectively stop Granger and we got in foul trouble. Indy shot 28 free throws to our 10. McHale couldn't get the matchups to work in our favor and Scola had a terrible game.
Maybe McHale should learn how to do situational substitions and get Dragic out of there if he is going to be switching every pick on defense. DD
Jopa, love Parsons but why would the worst ft shooter in the team have the ball in his hands with less than 5 seconds left? Indy could have just foul him on purpose and dare him to make two fts to tie the game. That was bad possession and not have a time out to plan the final play showed. Anyway, proud of the guys, they battled it out and sometimes it is all you can ask, especially when the other team gets hot in the 4th quarter and OT as Indy got.
+1 Parsons should never ever be the one getting the ball in-bounded to him in those kind of late-game situations.
