I had the same gloomy predictions. We were both wrong. Gutsy effort.

Yao's elbows could be lethal if he really 'uses' them. With his height his elbows are right to the head of most players. I hope no one will get hurted accidently by them.

Yao is the most dominating player in the league. if he continues this effort, he has gotta be seriousely considerd for MVP?...

Not this season, but if the Rockets are great next season, probably.

Had the Rockets better record, he would certianly be a front-runner for the MVP title. However, i truly believe now that Yao has figured -out his role, he will continue to be an 24 and 14 guy from here on. he is not timid anymore. i see him shouting and demanding the rock. he cuts and moves alot more freely in the low-post. he just looks really damn good now.

Thank God the game is broadcasted by the very sorry NBA-TV here in Hong Kong. :D

There were really a handful of Rockets games in NBA-TV this season not to mention that it is a paid channel here. But still my gradtitude to the Programme Manager for choosing this exciting game. Couldn't wait to go home and watch the game. :D :D :D

At least 5 buckets that Yao makes are off passes from Rafer. I think people underestimate what Rafer has done for our team compared to our previous point guards, Steve-O and Mike James. If they were in the game today, there would be no way Yao would get his 38 points. He would get deep in the paint only to be ignored. Rafer has done a great job mostly, even though some of the passes make you question what he was thinking.

God, I enjoyed that performance by Yao and the guys. I had DVRed the game, and laid in bed late last night watching it again. Yao is achieving greatness right before our eyes. What a trip!

Some players just take a while before things click. Oh, and Bogans is really making an impact for the Rocks. A great move, CD!

Yao has arrived. This is very bad news for the rest of the league.

Please stop dumping your negativity on Alston and JH.

    jh 14 points.
    Alston 14 assits.

    I can live with that.

and yes, JVG is now really getting some geat decisions on rotations and substitutions. It helps allot because of the trade for Bogan..( sp?)..too damn tired to correct that.

anyway, go rockets!..tracey is ascary problem...I am afraid that 2 periods a game might be all we can expect for thiss year..

That was an awesome game - TC was nuts during most of the 4th quarter. Best game of the year, IMO.

Same here. Whats up with Sportscenter? I remember they would actually show highlights of every game or at least mention it, I guess it was back when MTV actually showed videos.

    Stuart

edit: Could this be another Player of the week honor for Yao?
