there it is... only down by 9 starting the 4th. yao can't do it himself. he may get 40 tonight, but unless one other guy steps up we will still lose.
You know, I seriously think if tmac didn't suit up tonight, Rockets might played better. Because he is back and hitting shots, the other role players is just not as mentally intense as they should be. Now tmac is out, the role players will have to adjust, I hope it's not too late for them.
McGrady was playing very strong, aggressive defense and I think that must have caused him to throw out his back. What a sad season this has been.
Let's hope Yao composed himself to make a run in the 4th quarter...he was a bit out of it right after he banged his knee. Right now it looks like Bogans is the only one who really wants it.

You know, I think Coach is trying to work himself up to putting Yao, Deke, Juwan, Lampe, and Brunson all on the floor at the same time so he can really gripe about the rotations being bad.

That last hook was a lucky shot Juwan made, had zero touch on it. But he is bringing the J in the 2nd half. Btw notice Juwan is doing this without Yao in the lineup. Seems like he'd be a better fit off the bench.

Simple: horrendous perimeter defense. Overall, we're a good defensive team due largely to our interior defense, but that's misleading because our backcourt is one of the worst defensive backcourts in the league, IMO. Rafer can't stop anyone if his life depended on it, unlike Mike James. Also, he can't shoot the three as well as MJ could. He's a better passer, but overall I think he hurts this team when he just can't make a shot or stop anyone from scoring. This team could desperately use a Jason Terry-type because the bottom line is we need snipers around Yao and McGrady to feed off the constant attention they get...otherwise, as I always say, the system fails. Rafer has some galring holes in his game. Add to that the fact that DW is slow and too short to stop anyone anymore. Oh, and don't forget about the fact that JVG's defense is designed to challenge teams to beat you from the outside. So this leaves us at the mercy of opposing shooters, and we're left with praying that they miss their shots.
