Although I usually hate to play against a team who is missing one of there premier players, I wouldn't mind playing a Dirk-less Mavericks, considering how tough the West is..
This game is huge for 2 reasons: (1) Even if we lose to the Mavs the night after, if we beat the Pacers we are one still .5 games ahead of the Mavs. (2) This would be 16th straight, longest in franchise history and it would extend the longest streak in the NBA this season. Then there's the fact that we're not supposed to be losing to the Pacers at home in the first place...
True, but the Mavericks will have Dirk for the rest of the season/playoffs. It would be better to play them with Dirk to get a decent idea of how good we are against a team like them.
Man, I'm from Indiana, more importantly, Pacer are in a tough stretch which will significantly affect whether they are qualified for playoff or not....
