Best case scenario for this team:

Lin goes back to Linsanity mode
Harden solidifies himself as the 3rd best player in the NBA by lowering TOs and improving defense
Parsons takes another step forward on offense and defense
One of Jones/DMo emerges as a solid starter
Dwight returns to his peak level of play and is the 4th best in NBA after Harden
Asik improves at catching the ball and finishing at the rim

Two of the top 5 players in the NBA plus 3 borderline all stars

Now THAT'S a "super team".

 

This is what PRESEASON is for.

We were giving Howard reps for his post-play vs. a tough defender. I'm sure coaches will now look at the tape and show Howard what he should have done.

So maybe Howard will think "oh, post-play is hard. can I mix in a few PnRs along the way to get me going and my defender into foul trouble?"

 

We're gonna be SO GOOD this year!!!

I don't know how much more I can temper my excitement for the start of the season.

 

I like the rotation with Bev at PG and Lin at SG

 

Same here. Don't really mind as long as the combo makes a winning team.

 

I still see the big impact of Howard irregardless of his stats today. And glad to see Luna defense back on track as his team defense was whack last game. Harden is seriously showing effort on the defensive end as well. Good game all around. Everyone came to play today coz both teams wanted to test themselves out against good competition and guess what, we're really good. Really good.

 

This team finishes number one in the west.

So deep.

Is there going to be a replay of the game? I was too tired to stay up late.

Rockets should play the Pacers in every game, maybe we'll be 82-0?

I've been away and offline for a long month (reserve IDF service, actually...)

I just LOVE WHAT I SEE coming back here, both Rocket-wise and Casspi-wise! :grin:

Even I'M surprised with Casspi's stellar performance (and I'm a fan and compatriot).
Where are all the black-hearted cynics, the likes of the honorable Profundo Rosso?

Well, I just hope all this will keep on, going into the regular season...

Anyone has more highlights from this last Taipei game?

I forgot to set my alarm....woke up 2:49, right after the game.

I checked in here right away.....glad that we won.

Jeremy did pretty good...block, three points, assists, steals.
Darn, he even stole a rebound from Dwight.:grin:

exactly what i've been trying to say, pre season is like an amped up pickup games. No one should be going 100% in a pre season game, both teams should be trying to pickup chemistry and learning how to play with each other. If dwight or any other player wants to experiment with their game, NOW is the time to do that. so he can figure out what works, and what doesn't work.

 

Great game. Some weaknesses, but I'll let others talk about that.

This is the best Rockets team I've seen in a long, long time. And to think, this is all without Asik, the 2nd best player on the team last year!

 

This is easily the best roster we've had since Clutch City.

I'll be surprised if this team finishes lower than the 3rd seed.
